Straight six is a beautiful thing. I once owned a MB 280SL.

At least our Pentastars are 60 degree, not a chopped V8.

My son sells low mileage Hell Cat and other Hemi motors for what I consider cheap. I bet I could put a Hemi motor with the 4x4 tranny under 20K miles for under $6000 (family price) if I wanted to do so.

A motor big enough to tow UP hill. Diesel, turbo V6, (E torque?) I don’t care. I just want to be able to get rid of my V8 Colorado but I can’t because my trailer is 4.500 pounds.

A factory trailer brake controller for the same reason above.

Any way to get rid of that key fob for something of reasonable size. I had to build a special shelf for key storage as three on any device, that would hold them, would require my wife to get a bigger purse and I guess I would start carrying a backpack.
Otherwise, three cheers for Mark Allen for bringing such an awesome vehicle to market.

Well Max tow is 7650. There is an aftermarket key fob that is smaller

Right. But that number is published by lawyers and engineers.

The frame can certainly handle it but try going up interstate 70 eastbound or interstate 80 westbound in the mountains with even half that amount.

I did get the AJT fob for my Rubicon but I also have a 2020 Wrangler stripped with crank windows. : ) No one is making a key fob for that. I was hoping there might be someway to program the transponder in a Fiat key that would fit in the door. Several are working on that.

There is an integrated factory brake controller for the JT, it was supposed to be available in April but Covid put a delay on it. Availability is now August. There is a dealer taking pre-orders on Ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-2020-...-Brake-Controller-MOPAR-82215652/164076381153. It mounts in place of of your 12v plug.

Which is more than mildly annoying given that it's the only 12v plug in the vehicle for many (all?) of us.

So I'll add that one... more outlets. This is supposed to be a utility vehicle but 12v plugs in the backs aren't standard?

Nothing new here, but:.
  • If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered mine with proximity locks. At the time, I thought that was just silly - I have to have a free hand anyway to open the door, so how much harder is it hit the button on the key fob. However, that was before I realized that the key fob is the size of a dessert plate, and can be hard to get out of your pocket while you're balancing everything else in the other hand....
You can DIY the proximity option.

No argument there, get the brake controller, lose your 12v. I guess you could add them by drilling holes in the panel under the steering wheel or elsewhere in the dash area. PIA for sure.

I agree with all of Bama’s ideas. Also:

1. The Aux switches should be standard
2. In addition to heated seats, cooling seats should be offered
3. The tonneau cover should lock

The damn key fob has another annoying habit of popping open and stabbing my leg.
I used a small zip tie around the key to wedge it in the pocket to keep it from deploying while in my pocket. If I were to ever need the key I can lift it out with an ink pen or other small item (paper clip, small knife, ect.)
I hope this helps.

It started at April delivery, then it went to June and now they are at August
I hear it’s now pushed to December
Same BS they’ve been playing since last April.

Allot of those things would be nice and some should be standard but afraid the truck would be so expensive based on Jeep Pricing Model only small percentage of folks would be able to afford one. They nickel and diming on everything now.
I think this is Jeeps marketing plan! The ute is very expensive, that is not debated. But all us die-hards will pay the money. Then, in a year of so (MY2021) Jeep will 'offer more as standard' thus pulling in the second wave of buyers. Then the next year (MY2022) everything is standard ... 'The most affordable and capable JT ever!' ... then MY2023 - FACE-LIFT!! ;):headbang:

Edited - Spelling!
