This is totally for the rotopaks and maxtrax hanging off the side of your truck on a Wednesday in February parked outside the office building set.

Oddly specific, I admit.

<scratching my head> Why?????? Nope…. Never…
There’s hundreds of better aftermarket upgrades that’ll do a way better job, carry more, and not be so susceptible to thieves.

I could see a business hanging a sign on it…. or other signage - WIDE LOAD (for those escort trucks). Or some other safety warning sign….. etc.

Bad idea for a daily street driver. I wouldn't want to be behind anyone with a bunch of tools strapped to the tailgate. I also wouldn't want to put my tools on the outside of my truck like that.

It's the perfect product though for guys that like to ride around and attract attention from most drivers who just think they've got too much time on their hands. You could also mound "pre-runner lights" underneath the mesh shell to use as accent lights and attract even more eyeballs who will no doubt be super impressed with your "Rig".
hello may i be as so bold to offer some unsolicited trivia about "prerunner" lights? i am familiar with the toyota pickup with three lights in the grill, but the rest of us install them after wheel/tire modifications to be in compliance with 49 cfr 393.11. this federal regulation went into effect 12/25/68 with regard to newly manufactured "commercial" vehicles over 80" in width. they were loosely referred to as roof or marker lamps. the regs have been updated/modified over the years to where it now includes what most would perceive as noncommercial vehicles such as a dually pickup or even the ford raptor. if it is over 80" they are required. larger tires and rims on a gladiator will exceed the benchmark requirement in a heartbeat.
there was a post on a thread several years ago on this forum where the gladiator owner received multiple tickets while driving in a national forest. the ticket issuing officer alleged the driver was depositing mud from a fire lane onto the paved road. yes, this is a violation in MANY jurisdictions. it is the same thing when an inconsiderate mower operator blows grass clippings onto a road or snow is plowed, blown or shoveled from private property onto a public road or a truck is losing part of its load such as gravel, firewood, boxes etc. one of the tickets received was due to the registered vehicle operating on a public road while in excess of 80" and not having the required lighting.
the beauty of America is if one desires to modify their jeep in a certain legal way, God bless ya! let your freak flag fly baby! however, those angry bird grills............................!

Not really a fan, but that's just me

People tend to load these trucks up with gaudy stuff...Just for the reason to display gaudy stuff. There is all sorts of molle panels for the inside of the bed where they would be less likely to get ripped off either by branches or thieves.
Then there's the aspect of adding more and more weight.
Reminds me of folks who add so much junk to Adventure bikes that they become difficult to maneuver and ride anymore.
Having said that, if ya like it, have at it, it is a free country (except Kali ;-)

We have many truck drivers around here with stuff falling off their pickup trucks all the time. Ladders, wire, tools, etc.. Imagine following behind this guy on the interstate and hoping that crap is installed and strapped down correctly. It’s bad enough people bolting a heavy jack to the hood, but you know some moron will eventually bolt this jack to the tailgate. I think things like this should be outlawed. Keep it inside the bed of the Jeep please.

Okay, I'm not always up on the latest trends, so maybe I missed this and everyone else has seen it. I'm not sure what to think about it. It doesn't help that the before and after photos are not even the same color Gladiator.

First, I don't need it. Second, anything mounted on it is going to be so filthy dirty after five miles on the trail it will need a good cleaning before use. Third, I don't like adding weight to the very back of the JT. Fourth, it's ugly in my opinion. Other than that, ...............

Before good! After Ugh! But I wouldn't put my choices and taste on somebody else. But since you asked I gave my useless opinion.

Ok my $.02 is if you’re going to work a Gladiator, especially with Max Tow/Payload, then that $399 is a reasonable extra layer of protection and mounting points for other essentials, like shovels, jack platforms, high lift jack ect I would not however add one at ? 25lbs minimum on a regular Payload Gladiator that barely has enough capacity for 4 adults and a weekend worth of stuff.

Damn that video could make someone seasick watching it. :giggle: Not a chance I'd spend that much money on it. I see some attributes for something similar. To haul a trail trash bag(s) on it or tow straps, winch line, shackles when off-roading for quick access stuff. A High-Lift jack would not be bad there but opening and closing may be a PTA plus a lot of wear and tear on latching mechanism. Definitely needed for the ones that have the silly front grills though.
