I traded in a 2019 limited. It was a great truck! Whisper quiet and rode wonderfully. A guy offered me absurd money for the truck previous to this one and I took it even though I shouldn't have as that truck had soul. Headers, tune and stainless works catback. The 2019 just did not need anything, and I had a hard time with that. The Gladiator allowed me to put myself back in my daily and I like that.

2014 GMC Sierra SLT, that I upgraded the exterior to the Denali look. Good truck for the most part, gas mileage was always a lie on it. Was supposed to get 18 city, 22 freeway and with 33" tires and a 2" lift got 14 city, 16 hwy.

Probably would have kept it and driven it until the engine went if I didn't get the dreaded GM cab corner and rocker panel rust starting. It went from a little bit to the whole area leaking and getting squishy feeling really quick, managed to flip it to a local dealer before it was too noticeable. I think they ended up just sending it off to auction.

The JTRD drives much nicer so far and gets me a confirmed combined 24mpg while already having 33" tires.

My current ride is a '21 Mojave. I traded in a '20 Overland for it (the Mojave was not released when I originally bought my Overland). Before the Overland I had a '18 Wrangler.

Still in it.... 2019 Ridgeline Black Edition. Has been an absolutely amazing truck for my pre-COVID needs (commuting, etc.) but things have wildly changed and I want a toy+daily so finally getting a Jeep (always wanted one).

Damn, 2014 GMC already getting cab corner rust?? :swear:

The road salt up here in the winters is unreal....but it seems like Jeep is pretty good on rust prevention. I've seen older JK's that spent their entire lives in WI and they didn't look too bad. TJs are another matter however....

This is my official trade-in. The only reason I got it was because I was renovating a house and was borrowing trucks/trailers hauling sheet material and also because of more and more rumors of Jeep producing a truck. Also because the JL was being revealed soon so JK pricing was (theoretically) at peak.

This is what I traded in to get the F-150. I’m not really sure if I’d have a JT if I didn’t get rid of the JKU. I’d spotted it for sale a couple of times after trading it and while I had the Ford and I really, really considered buying it but had heard the then owners were having issues with the top and had pulled the carpet.

Glad I have the JT, but wished I’d have skipped the Furd.

Well I had 3 cars that I sold for the JT.

  • 2014 JKUR on 37s and beadlocks. It was a fun vehicle but I had issues with the pentastar... Also I was getting tired of the 12mpg.
  • 2003 Jaguar XJ Super V8. Gorgeous car that, at the time, I though I got a great deal on. It was a the last steel body XJ with a supercharged V8. It was a blast to drive. But you know the old saying about how old Jags always breakdown. Yeah, it's true...
  • 2021 Civic Type R. It was a really fun vehicle to daily drive but I just got bored of it quickly...
In the end, I sold all three of those and placed an order for a JTRD. I made the right choice.

I drive my vehicles until they completely wear out. My convertible mustang and my F150 both died at about the same time. The JT was the perfect solution for me - a combination convertible/pickup.

I wasn't planning on doing anything until I test drove a JT diesel on a whim and the dealer offered me 6k more for my tacoma than I paid for it new. I loved that tacoma, but this jt-d is a whole different level off road with the 37s, and gets 30% better gas mileage than my taco.
