Tails are just about looks, so I guess I don't consider someone caring to change those but good point if someone wants them.
The led tail lights are a safety feature. Much better chance of those grabbing the attention of someone about to plow onto your rear end. Especially in daylight.

Honestly, having had BOTH a halogen gladiator and then a LED gladiator, I can honestly say it went from the worst pathetic headlights to the best headlights I’ve ever used! Secondly, they look great but possibly most importantly, the LEDs are so fast acting that it’s a safety feature and reaction time for drivers behind you is something like 50ft at highway speeds … DO IT!

Yep. I am starting to wonder if I will regret not getting the LED'S on my recently ordered JTRD. I had given consideration to getting the steel front bumper but also had to get the KED package as well. My thoughts at the time was that I was planning on getting the Oracle heated Oculus headlights along with the Oracle taillights, reverse lights and fog lights.

However since I have placed my order I have started reading up a little more on the forum about their products and the issues they have had. I had mainly not wanted the factory package due to no heated headlight. So now I am thinking I may regret my decision here.
Factory LED are great. Wide and bright beam. It cast a shadow over a Jl with aftermarket LED from two lanes away.

I don't think it's worth changing an order over. I have the flush mount tails and they are awesome. Plug and play didn't work, they have sent the resistors to me, but I got a jscan in the mean time and they work perfectly. I may eventually upgrade the headlights but I have 3 kids 5 and under, so I really don't do a lot of night driving and would rather spend my money elsewhere. Halogens have been fine for me

Looks like I will be looking to see who has factory take offs for sale then. Truck is already on order. I will just have to bite the bullet and purchase separately.

So this was my experience. I drove a JK with halogens which is equivalent to candle light for about 180K miles and decided it was time to get a set of JW Speakers since my lenses were getting pretty bad. Once I upgraded and actually realized what I was missing it was amazing I hadn't hit anyone or killed anyone in that time. Standard lights are an absolute joke. Fast forward and it was at the top of my list in terms of must haves and included it on the JT.

The one thing I learned about my JK is that every mod I did I ended up hating myself for not doing it sooner. I will not be making the same mistake with my JT.

If you drive rural roads like I do, they’re a safety feature. I don’t feel as fatigued or like I’m in a dangerous situation when driving mountain roads late at night by myself.

My Canyon had factory projectors and I did the H9 conversion and ran PIAA bulbs and had diode dynamics led fog lights. They worked well, way better than stock, but it wasn’t the same as these LEDs.

Depends greatly on where you live I suppose. I don’t have a rubicon for bragging rights. I have one to drive over big rocks while smiling. And I live on big rocks.
The big rocks around here are used as lawn decorations, address signs in front of houses and so on, and a 10 year old could climb over them. No rocks near me.

You don't have big enough tires or a high enough lift.........

Similar here - rural winding hilly roads and highways, trees right up to the shoulder in some areas and even in daylight it can be tricky as our deer like to pounce at the last second. You need to light things up shoulder to shoulder and more if possible, and as far forward as possible and as white as possible.
As WXman and I have discussed, you don't want to tangle with Iowa white tail.

Yep. I used to live in the Midwest, so remember well. Then in FL for almost 20yrs. I wanted there to be rocks, but there just weren’t any. The Rockies suit me pretty well, but it’s definitely not for everyone to be under feet of snow until May. :)

I've kinda done it two similar ways both on both my JL and Gladiator. Both started out with the standard light package. My JLur got LED bulb replacements then projector upgrades. My JTrD just has the bulb upgrade.
The housing is really the limiting factor, and there is a difference between the bulbs and the projectors. That being said having lived both worlds there is a difference between the projectors and the bulbs but if you can't justify the cost. The bulbs are certainly better than the standard lights. If I wanted projector lights though, I would definitely go with aftermarket options. Just spend some money and get the quality brands.

The glaciers made gravel out of our rocks years ago and in some areas up north really flattened things. Not so much around me - it's crazy hilly from here south but not rocky.

Just spend some money and get the quality brands.
That applies to any Jeep. I was looking into upgrades for a WJ I had and checked around and the WJ guys all said "BEWARE!" - there's a lot of cheap "this will fit" and yes they are LED -but.......
I never did the upgrade, loved the Gladiator so much I sold the WJ but do sort of wish I still had it now and then.

The cheap upgrades and bulbs are exactly that. Some are likely not even legal or safe.

I live in ND and have had everything from rain at 14* followed by snow to driving thru 2 blizzards this winter already and have had zero issues with buildup in headlights with factory LED package.

For years now we’ve not taken a vehicle without HID and now LED and have lived in ND,SD, CO, SD and finally back to ND again. Never issue with snow/ice buildup of snow on the vehicles and the safety aspect ALWAYS worth the extra money.
