....The easiest way I found to bleed my trailer brake system is to chalk the rear wheels and then take a 2 x 4 and place my foot on the ground with a 2 x 4 in front of it directly in front of the tongue and then I push forward which depresses the tongue. And I just keep on doing this like I was pumping the brakes.
Hmmm, ok. It doesn't SEEM like pushing the 2x4 would be enough force but if you say it works, I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks for the advice!

You have to brace the bottom of the board with your foot and then lean your weight against the top and it works easily.

Ok is the boat the limit or can you include a Yeti full of silver bullets?
When I weighed the boat it was full of gas and supplies for the weekend. I don't use Yeti products though, I like Engel.

Nice little motor sailer 🤞 🤞 🤞 :):):)
Only 23 ft long, with a 16" draft with the swing keel up and it has 6' 1" standing head room in the kitchen table and cooking area. A perfect trailer sailor, shallowest draft I know of that still has standing headroom. No racer but it will move under sail and has an inboard diesel if there is no wind. The guy even hung a nice 4 stroke gas motor off the transom so I can use gas or diesel.

The very first thing I did with my Gladiator was tow a boat from Michigan to South Florida. 19 footer, about 3500-4000 lbs total weight. Towed beautifully through the Smoky Mountains.

For all the talk of serious off-roading on here, taking my boat south in the winter in a convertible was the biggest reason I got a Gladiator. When I arrive and unhitch, my tow vehicle doubles as a fun sun cruiser instead of plodding around in a F-150.

I bought for the same reason. Had a truck for my boats, had a convertible for my everyday drive, the Gladiator does both.

Who says Gladiators aren't trucks? Lol. Mine brought home this 22 cu. ft. refrigerator today.

I keep thinking it's the same size as older "full size" American pickups - Apparently not parked next to my '55. Yeah, the '55 is low and the Gladiator is high but it's still bigger overall and by a lot.

Towed my 24' boat yesterday for the first time. Only towed it about 10 miles or so, but I can say it did better than I expected.
Boat and trailer is right around 6k.

Wow, that's 6000 lbs? Are you fairly certain it's that heavy?

I ask because I own a 2003 Centurion 22ft wakeboard boat with a Chevy 350 in it on a Trailrite trailer and the information I have found online SEEMS to put them at a bit under 5000 lbs. Since my truck is a Rubicon the maximum tow rating is 7000 lbs. I'd prefer to be well under the max.

Here's my boat & trailer behind my old '08 Chevy 3500:

PS: My trailer has surge brakes only.

SBC engine - around 550 pounds or so. The AMC V8, a heavy block - is 550, I doubt a small block Chevy is heavier.
The trailer - can't be too heavy, I bet not even 1,000.
My aluminum car hauler is 1500 empty. It's a tilt bed with hydraulics, steel latches and so on.
