Holes for rivets don’t align on front as I’ve seen here or in videos. Looks like stock holes on Max Tow fenders are different.
Gotcha... in that case, just punch in a bunch of new holes. Really secure those things up in there! :)

Ignore my front left, rear right comment please. It's been a long day.

I didn't want to clutter this up too much, more pics in my build thread, in my sig, soon.

Well, they are installed, lmfao. Not my finest work, but it doesn't look bad from outside the wheel well, rofl!
pretty much exactly how I installed mine

Just drill new holes. I had the same experience with my overland.
This would make sense. I’d guess my fenders (color matched) are likely the same as Overland. Did you have to drill holes in the XR flare too?

No, I used the predrilled holes in the flare and if there wasn’t a matching hole in the fender I pit the ol’ drill to her!!! Good luck!

The Black on Black Gladiator looks amazing! What offset are your wheels? I got Fuel Beasts with -12 offset with 285/70 17 tires and I wonder if these Recon extensions will cover my tire (Required in NH).

I have a set (2x front left, 2x front right) in Cincinnati if anyone is interested. I doubt I install on Max Tow.

Considering ordering these for my Willys. I have the Weathertec mudflaps already but when I go bigger tire I want to make sure I limit as much tire flung crap as possible. Anyone install these with the Weathertecs?

Thanks for the information!! You Gladiator is beautiful for sure. I just swapped a set of 33x12.5's out for the 285/70's two days ago because the 12.5's were just too far out. My offset is -12 so only 5.5mm basically further out and my new tires are narrower than yours so I think I may be good. Forgive the snow and road salt...freaking New Hampshire.

Installed the fronts yesterday. I realized I only received one front pair so I'm waiting for the second set to arrive for the rear.

I have seen something today that blew my mind! A new Overland Gladiator ($83k) at a dealership with the Extreme Recon flares mounted to the front of the rear wheel well…and it looked perfect…no relief cuts! The last picture is from their website before they were installed apparently. Thoughts?

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose, being to reduce flicking up rocks and mud behind you when you’re running tires poking outside of the stock flares? I don’t see the rational for mounting them in reverse as they don’t really serve a functional purpose then, and it looks kinds funny if you ask me. 🤷‍♂️

But it's now more aerodynamic and gained additional horsepower 😂
