Jeep has a nasty habit of using its faithful to function-test its engines.

Is 2023 finally the year the Ecodiesel has ironed out its defects?

i want to get an Ecodiesel, I really do, not the reliability of the Duramax tempts me away from the Jeep fold….

50K trouble-free miles on my JL. Like it so much I got a JT with the diesel. I will share this, before I put a set of 37' BFG KO2's on the JT I got a set of 4.10 gears to swap in. After using a Taser to set the tire size I decided to leave the gears alone. It pulls just fine and goes into 8th right at 55 mph all while getting consistent low to mid 20's mpg.

Yup same here 11k miles and absolutely 0 problems, even did the Insane diesel oil filter bypass and it's been perfect other than that,no problems just awesomeness the mpgs are awesome the power is great despite people saying the gasser performs the same.....and to that I say Hell No??,

offroad I don't have to stomp on the gas to get the damn thing up a steep hill anymore compared to my Ole gasser, passing the highway too is a breeze with the diesel now, lovin it :)

But it being diesel comes maintenance that's obviously expected so for the people complaining just stop cause it ain't gonna maintain itself. So change your oil, fuel filter and deal with adding def to your truck and ect.???

Mines ok pulls my trailer fine. My issues have not been motor related. More so jeep related lol. I’ve got 32k on mine. Only had issues with the auto start stop and battery shit. I’m getting 29 mpg commuting.

Also I pull a 19 foot travel trailer regularly in the summer. Get about 15 mpg towing. Depending on where I’m at
