Removed the over head roll bar speakers getting it ready for tomorrows install of the new ones that are coming .. ordered four 3.5" Cerwin Vega H735 two for the top of the dash and two for the roll bar and two Cerwin Vega H740 4" speakers for the roll bar .

Not today, but a couple of weeks ago before going on vacation and forgetting I did it.

Added Bolt hood lock. Fairly easy install once I bought a bigger pop rivet setting tool. Mine was too small (that's what she said). Using sharp wire cutters gave me a decently trimmed opening. I think it looks better than the JL insert that came with the lock. (JL insert doesn't work btw).

I will probably try and clean it up some more when I take the grill back off to install winch in the next few weeks. The plastic is pretty soft, so should clean up easy. Have too many higher priority projects to get it done right now.

Typical maintenance, I have a license plate light out and when I was looking around for any damage or spots that needed paint touch up while I was down there I noticed this dent. Anyone else have this? It's clearly from the swaybar link. Didn't realise they came that close together.

I put the splash guards and bug deflector from my 2020 onto the 2022.
Anyone know a source for the clear adhesive backed paint protector film like comes with the MOPAR bug deflector to protect the paint where the bug deflector may rub against the truck? They come with a strip of it - but I moved this from my 2020 to the 2022 so need more of that for this truck.


Two things about the splash guards - Jeep needs to redesign the fronts to take advantage of the structure of the truck to attach them to.
In the pics below, you can see where they rub on the metal structure where there are push pin type retainers already there. They could use that spot as another attachment point for the front splash guards.
Also - the bracket they added to the right side to prevent the right wheel from rolling under the truck and flipping it in an accident - they'll need to redesign the right front splash guard to work around that. I trimmed my splash guard to fit around it.

My Bull Dog winch plate arrived - holy cow, that thing is STOUT, heavy, thick and strong looking. I can't believe how heavy it is.
