Where are you in Florida. I have the seat jackers on my truck. I'm in east Orlando and would be happy to let you try it out. I am 260 5'11" but I have a tall torso with a 30 inseam so we may sit similar....or both?
I took my brand new Gladdy Mojave on its first road trip. It was only 2 hours which is very mild for my lifestyle. We usually do 8-20 road trips every couple of months. I was 30 minutes into the ride and I felt like I had been driving all day. My butt hurt, kept having to shift weight from side to side, moving legs around trying to displace weight more evenly. I am 6'4" 260 pounds so I was surprised when the stock seat in the Gaddy didnt really sink at all when I sat on it. It makes me think that thing is never going to break in.
Spent some time searching this forum and a few Youtube videos and read varying opinions on whether the leather seats versus cloth seats were better. My Gladdy has the leather. Some people are saying the seats break in after a while, a lot are saying they don't.
I initially considered buying a seat cushion like your grandma used to take with her to the bingo halls, then I started considering weight distribution.
I did read up about the seat jackers from Desert Does It. https://desertdoesit.com/collection...u-and-gladiator-adjustable-front-seat-jackers
So my question is, for those of you in the camp that the Gladdy seats are uncomfortable, was just the angle for your legs? Or was it also that the seat cushions are too firm and make your butt hurt?
Does installing seat jackers help with butt pain by displacing your weight more evenly across a larger surface of your butt and thighs?
Lastly, I would like to hear from the bigger framed guys whether installing the seat jackers made it worse when considering hitting your head on the sound bar and not being able to see stop lights at an intersection.
I don't want to buy seat jackers just to find out it doesnt solve the problem and I don't want to commit to a seat cushion because the last thing I need is to sit even higher in the cab of the Gladdy. I already feel like Marmaduke with my head in the ceiling
I have been on the fence with mine. It definitely did raise me slightly because I have a tint strip on the windshield that now cuts my vision almost in half. If I wasn't about to lift and level the truck I would get rid of them but I'll wait and see how it feels after being leveled.
