I have cloth Mojave seats and have taken 3+ hour trips without any issues. I really don't mind them at all, though I will find out more when I finally take a nice 10hr+ drive to the Carolinas.

Yes they were long enough. I can take some pictures if you would like?
Would be great to see a picture of them in place. I like the idea in theory

Sorry it's taken me awhile to get back to you! Here is what I could get. They aren't to great (pictures that is...). Need anything else, let me know. Like I said before, this is a quick, cheaper method to try before you buy an expensive kit. You will need the specialty socket to remove the seat bolt themselves. Just fyi.

Thanks for the pictures and info. Im thinking about using stacked washers to get the right amount of height and trying that out to see if it makes a difference

Unfortunately, you will never be comfortable in the seat. Go sit in a full size pickup like ford f150 or Chevy or Ram and you will see.

What value was this to the conversation?

Just pointing out the reality. Ive been there and done that. Ive owned jeeps longer than 90% of this forum (since 97) its just not a big enough vehicle for people op’s size because of the sound bar and seat pan angle.

LOL - was thinking the same thing. They don't go as high as my 250 lb/ft one does, but they never need adjustment and nothing to set or unset on them.

I don't fit the large frame, Shaq tall type guy profile, only 5'8" and 200 pounds, but I find the seats totally comfy even with my bad back issues and constant back pain. I can ride in or drive my JT all day.
I'm extremely picky about how they are adjusted, but once I'm there, it's great.
They’re fine for me too. Five-eight and 170. My wife (5’6” and ? Weight) uses a pad.

No problem. Either way you go, hope it works for you.

...or both?

I took my brand new Gladdy Mojave on its first road trip. It was only 2 hours which is very mild for my lifestyle. We usually do 8-20 road trips every couple of months. I was 30 minutes into the ride and I felt like I had been driving all day. My butt hurt, kept having to shift weight from side to side, moving legs around trying to displace weight more evenly. I am 6'4" 260 pounds so I was surprised when the stock seat in the Gaddy didnt really sink at all when I sat on it. It makes me think that thing is never going to break in.

Spent some time searching this forum and a few Youtube videos and read varying opinions on whether the leather seats versus cloth seats were better. My Gladdy has the leather. Some people are saying the seats break in after a while, a lot are saying they don't.

I initially considered buying a seat cushion like your grandma used to take with her to the bingo halls, then I started considering weight distribution.

I did read up about the seat jackers from Desert Does It. https://desertdoesit.com/collection...u-and-gladiator-adjustable-front-seat-jackers

So my question is, for those of you in the camp that the Gladdy seats are uncomfortable, was just the angle for your legs? Or was it also that the seat cushions are too firm and make your butt hurt?

Does installing seat jackers help with butt pain by displacing your weight more evenly across a larger surface of your butt and thighs?

Lastly, I would like to hear from the bigger framed guys whether installing the seat jackers made it worse when considering hitting your head on the sound bar and not being able to see stop lights at an intersection.

I don't want to buy seat jackers just to find out it doesnt solve the problem and I don't want to commit to a seat cushion because the last thing I need is to sit even higher in the cab of the Gladdy. I already feel like Marmaduke with my head in the ceiling
I thought I would try putting some washers in first to see if if worked for me , before I buy the jackers.

Im glad there was sense behind the comment. It read as if you were just trolling. ?

but I respectfully disagree since there are plenty of owners who have found comfort with either a position change or minor modifications.

having also owned a bunch of jeeps over many years, I personally think the JT has the most comfortable interior or any jeep ive owned. And thats me being 6’1” and 240lbs.

Not trolling at all dude. I hated the seat, bought the seat jackers and realized they improve the angle but then also put your head closer to the sound bar and I hit my head. Its a fail. And honestly it wouldn't take anything for Jeep to redesign the seat bracket and add power seats… i switched to a full size pickup and honestly for a daily, i dont think I can ever go back. I will have a JT again one day because despite the lack of power, slap 37’s and a small lift and a 10K warn on a rubi and you can honestly go anywhere within reason. But damn such a nice interior on the JT finally but the seat in my opinion completely blows. For
Ref im 6’4 and 195 - 200 depending if im cutting.

6'2", 200 lbs. Right hip replacement, torn acl and mcls in both knees. Pins in left foot. At first the seats were fine. Then we took a 4,300 mile trip. Came home and ordered the seat jackers. For me, the seat base was too horizontal. No support under the legs. Installed the 3/4" seat jackers. feel much better. My wife is 5'3", with Parkinson's. She likes the seat jackers too. She also sits on a jell pad. I got the angle on the base I wanted. But the base could be a bit softer. I don't like a pad because it makes me too tall. Would love to have a set of Recardo, or Bride seats.

I'm 6'00" and about 250#. Adding the seat jackers has made ALL the difference in the world to my comfort-level when in my JTR. They're well worth the money, in my most humble opinion!

With your height, I'd suggest doing the seat slammer.
https://desertdoesit.com/products/seat-slammers-2018-2022-jeep-wrangler-jl-jlu-gladiator
Although a couple washers is a lot cheaper and easily reversible. If you like the angle with the washers you could always do the slammer to drop the whole seat a bit.
Also I'd suggest a dead pedal. https://a.co/fe5Cep5
I've installed 3 of these, super easy and they help me on long drives.
