35x11.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. 2” taller and 3lbs heavier than stock Falken ATs. Recalibrated as soon as I left Discount Tire and when I hit the freeway I easily saw 8th, but I do detect it wants to downshift more. Actual tire spec says it’s 34.76. Tazer allowed me to enter 34.77. No lift and spare fits fine. I think my build is done, haha, yeah right, but it’s functional and looks great! I’m optimistic that since they’re less than 3lbs heavier (2.59lbs.) I won’t get a severe mph hit.

I was thinking about going with this tire as well but was concerned about it being a load range E. Does it ride any rougher on the road and how’s the handling?

@Discount Tire set me up with my Goodyear 315/70R17 DuraTrac’s installed on 17x8 +30 Black Rhino wheels. I’m not a huge fan of the wide stance look, so I was very pleased how this came out. FWIW this is a diesel Willys on the stock suspension.

I feel like it rides the same, but at first I thought I felt the ever slightest wandering. Either it was in my head or it was so minor I adjusted to it. I’m pretty sensitive to that sort of thing, so I wouldn’t worry. I’m happy with them.

Mine actually rides better. My guess is the extra sidewall helps cushion the ride.

@Animal, beautiful country, what's the story behind your sticker on the hood?
The Olympic national forest is one of the most beautiful places in WA for sure!

I've been a huge fan of Rush and Rocinante is the name of the ship on the song Cygnus X-1.

When the Expanse books came out and used Rocinante I decided I'd name my next Jeep after it. I get a lot of comments from fans of the Expanse, far fewer from fans of Rush!

The photos were actually taken at the north end of the Wynoochee lake! Was scouting some future camping sites and will be headed back soon to explore more.

Awesome!! That is one of my favorite places. There's a few roads to explore, most are not accessible though because its so steep there. Be careful of the one road that does the big loop. Road 2270 I think it is. It's closed in winters but on the northwest portion where it gets close to the national park boundary there is a old rock slide. I went over it with my TJ years ago and it is super sketch, if you roll or slide, there's nothing to stop you for about 1,000 feet. And its steep and pebble rock so backing down is even more sketch. Just a heads up lol. But man that place is so beautiful. I miss it.
