Those websites are sometimes incorrect - just like the LED bulbs I bought for my Gladiator that 'do not fit a '22 Gladiator', that have been in my truck for two months now and fit / work fine.

I checked to see what the situation is locally. An AUX14 battery is available at the Oreilly's a 1/4 mile from my house. Autozone locally doesn't have one, but a few others a little ways out do. I'm not sure why they would say it's dealer only - other than they are just following their computer that says it doesn't fit when an AUX14 battery is in fact the correct size.
I have to agree that many of the car parts websites have not been updated and do not reflect recent model years and for sure almost always say nothing found when you say you have the diesel engine.

At the stores they are even worse.

Now that I have a model number, I might just get somewhere.

Thankis!

Oh, anyone know if the Aux battery in the diesel JT is under the main battery or the fuse box,

I keep hearing people saying replace the aux battery with something from NAPA or Dekka as they are American made batteries but no one is giving any Model numbers. Everywhere I have gone says the Aux battery is a dealer item and they do not show it in their systems. The Main battery, at least in my diesel is a Group H7 94R. I also have heard the Aux battery in the diesel is under the main battery not the fuse box. Anyone know the answer to either question?
I and others have posted the NAPA battery numbers in some places in these forums.
O'Reilly's does often have these.
As far as shipping - unless they have a hazardous materials shipping permit, maybe they won't, but I've bought batteries from AMAZON and had them shipped just fine. It's usually UPS that delivers them. Amazon is a hazardous materials shipper so UPS can ship for them.

Thanks for the info ! But.......

I checked the links. Auto zones website says it will not fit my 2021 JTRD. The Mopar link says no longer available and the last link says they won't ship because hazardous materials.

My local Autozone says it's a dealer only item.

Going to run to NAPA today to see what they say.
Mopar sites have been out of them like crazy because the batteries are garbage.

Websites are dumb sometimes. One for model year 2020 will fit any JT's (JL's too i believe) as they are the same thing for at minimum the gas engine. I am assuming diesel is the same but I can not comment on it.

At minimum on the Mopar and Bamwholesale sites you have part numbers.

Certain lead/acid (which AGM still are technically are) batteries are in short supply, period. Garbage or not. I"ve had trouble finding certain batteries other than the really super-common types used by millions of cars and trucks.
Otherwise, the parts stores would have them more readily. Most people go to dealers for batteries like that - so dealers of course would have trouble stocking an item that they have trouble getting anyway.
And batteries must be shipped as hazardous materials - so they can't just be tossed onto any truck carrying anything else and moved along.
There's a lot more to this than "batteries are garbage". Supplies have gotten worse, not better. Shipping is problematic. Any fool can haul around fenders and deliver them......... not so with batteries.

Well obviously supply change is still shit. I wasn't going to go down the list of reasons why they are out of stock. Just threw that in because, it is true.

Auto Barn has the AUX14 battery in stock and will ship it. I ordered one Monday for $110 with free shipping.
Amazon has the ACDelco 94R and will ship it. The price fluctuates a bit, but was $159 with free shipping when I bought it.

I just went through this. Napa had the batteries in stock so they got my $$.

Definitely go through the wheel well if you have to replace the aux, it was super easy.

my JT purchased October 2019, would not start a few weeks ago. I took both batteries out as all on here and other websites are all over the place on which battery to replace.
I had both tested and both were dead. The big battery AGM stock Mopar was marginal, but the small battery was toast. They said probably small battery killed the AGM main.
I replaced both and Jeep runs great.

I can attest to the acdelco 94r. I have one in my commander it's worked well for the last year and a half., I've killed it twice and it came back each time.

Also, have we figured out the best way to trickle these for storage ?

Connect to the nuts on the top of the terminals that the cables attach to on the main battery. That will keep both batteries charged.

I use the NOCO genius 5 with the quick connect eyelet pigtail (replacing the alligator clamps), permanently attached to the positive post and the ground bolt on the passenger fender.
I also added SAE pigtails to attach Battery Tender volt meters so I can monitor SOC on the Aux and Crank batteries. Picture shows these attached to the negative cable, but have since moved them to the fender ground as well. I plan to attach the meters to the engine cover with Velcro, as soon as I get the Velcro! The Aux positive is attached to the N1 post and the Crank positive is attached directly to the battery positive clamp.
the NOCO pigtail is not in this picture.

I'm waiting for my new H7 94R Full Throttle batter to arrive along with a new Aux battery for my 21 JTRD.

I've read that the AUX battery in the diesel JT is under the main battery and not the "fuse box". Can anyone confirm that ?

It would make it a lot easier. All the YouTube videos are for gas engines and it seems like a real PIA to pull the Aux battery if it is under the fuse box.

Both of your meters are measure the combined voltage of the 2 batterries connected in parallel, just at different points in the circuit. You will have to seperate the batteries to get the individual battery voltage readings.
