Just had mine replaced Monday, had a bunch of rain on Tuesday but truck stayed in service garage till I picked it up late that afternoon. Number one, they said to make sure the adhesive had extra time to set and #2, start/stop issues but that's another story.

Time will tell.

ESS issues are usually easy luckily...replace the batteries.

I purchased the vacuum tube. I'll install that dry and see how it works/looks, but the principle stands that we shouldn't have to deal with an issue like this on a brand new 40k plus vehicle. Now...if it were 5+ years old I can see it being somewhat of a moot point as it is a Jeep, but not less than a year in.

I would caution those attempting to self repair with adhesives or glues...the dealer/Jeep may not repair under warranty if there has been an attempt to self-repair this way. If you're under warranty, this is 100% covered. I've had mine replaced twice at not cost to me.

I see this point, but if they wanted to be jerks ( likely ) you have a legal argument - you were on vacation far from home. There were heavy storms and you were able to find some cover briefly. You had to mitigate your damages ( truck filling up with water which would cause far greater damages ).

So you've leaked across THREE different windows???? Yep - the part/procedure/both is definitely defective. Basically - what's the point of caring about the warranty on this. Jeep obviously can't/won't fix it.

Right...at this point I don't want it "fixed" I want a new top. Also fairly unlikely.

I have the three piece hard top and noticed a water leak behind the back seat today. It’s coming in from above the sliding window. I know the freedom panels sometimes leak if not seated properly. But I have heard of anything in the back yet. Anyone having a leak back there?

bet it's the same thing that happened to me. I had 3 or 4 places my window was leaking. i suspect it is not the roof, rather the seal they put around the window, its a plastic trim glued to the glass. The leak is likely the trim cracked and its leaking behind the seal. So the seal is effectively useless. I emailed jeep cares about this and they did not repond. I had to file a claim with my insurance. I live in arizona and suspect the heat from the sun cracked the trim. Its a stupid design.

My dealer tried to reseal the glass. So after a week they are now ordering a whole new glass I think.

I want a new top because they can't repair it properly. Yes, there is a chance a new one leaks as well...but less of a chance they can fix the one I have properly. I just talked to the dealer and the steps for me would be bring it in, file a complaint, document all the stuffs then send it to Jeep and see what they say. I don't have much love for Dealers, but at least the people in this service department have always been nice and helpful even if Jeep won't be.

I may decide the vacuum hose is a fine enough fix and I'll just spend some money on the Voyager Soft Top. A leak is a good enough excuse to tell the wife I need a new top right?

Whoever put it in should be hired by Jeep and flown around the country for 2 years replacing everyone's window. You found the only person that can do it.

This dealership sucks. You can see from the other posts I made about it. They had an outside glass company place replace it after they lied initially and tried to “fix” it.

That stuff remains sticky, so unless you put something over the top of it, debris/dirt will stick to it and look horrible.
