It looks likes it is lined up correctly with the tailgate, but there is supposed to be a piece of weatherstripping on the tailgate door that I don't see.
THANKS!! That was the question, "is something missing"? I'll ask AVO.

I do not have that weatherstripping either. I do have a piece on the inside of the door that goes past the tailgate (on the inside) when closed, so it is ineffective.

That's a different canopy. The fit is totally different. I have a rubber flap, but it's hanging inside the bed, doing nothing.
Either way, there should still be a piece of weather stripping there. I don't have a picture of mine handy to post but it is there. In fact, I like the big fat piece on that other one and may consider upgrading to that myself.

I agree, something should be there. I'll report back after I talk to AVO.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't come with one. But I'll probably put one on myself. Also the rubber flap on the inside should lay against the bed gate to prevent some dust intrusion.

Got my canopy yesterday. Install was fairly easy, but the new mount design using carriage bolts didn't match the instructions. Didn't take long to figure it out. I also have the short bolt problem and one of the window latches was broken. Have asked AVO for replacements. I also have a small gap on both sides at the front. I guess I'll use silicone as others have.

I used all of the shims on just four mounts. See the pic for how many I had to use. Is this normal? I have asked for more shims.

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the rear window and tailgate? The gap between them is pretty large. The rubber flap just hangs inside, so it doesn't do anything. Lots of room for dust to get in there.

man that’s a large gap. Mine is ALOT tighter than that. We only used shims at the very front, I think one or two.

Thanks for the photos and video. Not sure why I have more space than the rest of you. An install guy from AVO is supposed to call to tell me how they do the shims. They don't follow the AC instructions.

Here is the space I have available without it being bolted down.

Question for you all. I recently picked up a canopy with RTT on top. It has the solar with their adapter. I have a Jackery battery I'd like to connect it to when camping for several days. Anyone know where I can pick up the adapter for the solar to charge up a Jackery?

That's just an Anderson Plug. Buy it on amazon or cut it off and wire a plug of your choosing to tie into the jackery.

+1 Anderson plug. They're all the same style - the exact same housing works for both sides ("androgynous" - neither male nor female) - though slightly different dimensions so only the same colors will plug into each other. The gray colored one is an Anderson SB50, rated for 50 amps which is more than plenty for solar. Up to you where to buy one, but I got a genuine Anderson SB50 here and it plugged right into the Alu-Cab solar receptable on my Canopy Camper roof:
