I installed a 1.5" teraflex level kit, Auxbeam 8 button electrical thingymabobber, RugCel "Tank" Winch, QRC Bumper, along with a Mopar Mesh Sunbonnet and added a Tow receiver hitch which you can't see. It was a busy weekend!

Added some cheapo stick on red accents to side hood vents. (Hoping the 2 sided tape holds well if not im going to silicone the next set.) Tried putting an armor defense bullet antenna but had to remove it because the reception was so bad. Returned and ordered a ronin to see if its any better. Personal logo transfer stickers shipped today so should have some new accents soon.

Took in the rig for tire rotation. Full size matching spare upgraded with Apex valve and tpms. Glad new tpms registered without a hitch. All mounted on the tire carrier. Removed the spare from under the bed.

Took it to Big-O this morning and ordered a new set of Yokohama Geolandar MT’s, because I ran over a creosote bush yesterday the size of a redwood. Put a giant chunk of lumber through the sidewall of my driver side rear. Lucky for me it’s acting like a plug and holding pressure pretty good. Only losing a couple pounds Every few hours or so. The new tires won’t be in till tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. These were getting due anyway. On the bright side, I will now have three full sized spares.

Took advantage of the the down time in the driveway. Pulled the air filter out for some maintenance. Of course I dropped one of the air box screws somewhere into the engine compartment and couldn’t find it for the life of me.

JCR full height bed rack arrived and installed today along with their Molle headache rack. I like it a lot. Rotopax water cans should be here today so I can finish the side panels.

Upgraded my Steersmarts drag link with an attenuator. It’s really quite a difference in stability when hitting severe bumps at higher speeds. It should also alleviate some stress on the steering box by softening that connection a little. Very happy with it. I’d ordered ends as well, so that I now have all three parts for a full trail spare drag link.

Bit the bullet (get it?!) and got rid of my DIY phone mount and opted for the bulletpoint solutions magnetic mount with drop down kit. Life hack, if you’re an iPhone user, buy the MagBak case, stick the metal plate to the phone mount as pictured. MagBak cases already have a magnet in them, so no need to stick an ugly metal plate to your phone.

Also, dropped the jet skis in!!

I still need to remove the hard top to finish the Topliner install later this week and when I do, I'll be shifting the RTT back a bit as the platform can't really go any further forward...maybe an inch...

Today was the big day for the last of my upgrade push to be ready for Overland Expo West!!!!

First thing I had to do was pull the hardtop. I had already lined it with Boom Mat a week or so ago in preparation for the CoverKing Topliner:

After a little cutting and shaping and massaging (because of the Rhino-Rack Back Bone and the thickness of the Boom Mat), I did get the rear portion of the Topliner on:

Once the top was back on, I feel like it looks pretty good!

Now I needed to reinstall my rear molle panel. I get asked all the time where I found this and it is simply a BuiltRight Industries Cab Wall Panel meant to go in the bed...but it fits!

Fits like a CHAMP! I also got my homemade gear attic installed.

If anyone is interested in doing the molle panel this way, I simply made "L" brackets that bolt through the molle and down to the Hardtop hold down bolts. That alone is pretty sturdy and I've run it that way for about a year and a half with no problems. Now with the Back Bone braces I was also able to fab a bracket to capture the top of the molle panel as well. Now it is bomber!

Not much left to do other than some minor tinkering. This particular evolution in total was:

1. Sound deading the hard top​

2. Install CoverKing Topliner​

3. Install Rhino-Rack Back Bone​

4. Install Pioneer Platform​

5. Mount a total of 200W Photovoltaic panels on Pioneer Platform​

Phew...I'm done for a few days!!

Added rancho geo correction brackets and falcon thru shaft stabilizer. What a change in ride quality on the highway, the wander is gone, and bumps are much smoother. 2.5” Clayton lift has been installed since last year. Also took off the bumper end caps, still not sure on the look
