Stop Sale Order?

I’m still poking around the Gladiator. Found a rubicon manual local. Was told by the dealer that there’s a stop order on all manual gladiators and wranglers. Found this:

I thought this was resolved. Anyone else experience this? I almost pulled the trigger in a manual Willys the other day. They told me it was sold the other day. I wonder if they just pulled it because if this.

They just issued a Recall for the clutch. Those usually include a stop on sales until the Recall work is completed.

That’s pathetic, right? I mean, the prior model year had a major issue and it appears they’ve done nothing about it. Now they are limiting the cars capabilities to compensate for the issue. At least, that’s how it looks to me.

I’m curious how the torque reduction reduces towing capacity. This could get ugly...

a) reducing my vehicles power would make me angry.

ONLY when the conditions that cause clutch failure are met according to the documents, not ALL of the time.

And yes, the last manual equipped JT rolled out in January - nothing more was said.

Here's what it said about shipping JTs with manual transmissions -
The suspect period began on December 21, 2018, when production of Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with manual transmissions started, and concluded on January 22, 2021, when shipment of Jeep Gladiator vehicles with manual transmissions ended.

The way FCA handled the vague steering issue was even more pathetic. For chrissakes it took them 4 model years to figure out that the aluminum steering box was crap. How incompetent is that?

Hopefully, Stellantis takes quality a lot more seriously.

Am I misreading that? JTs with manuals have been shipping later than Jan of 2021. Or was that meant to say this year?

I ordered my JT on Jan 20 2021, took delivery on April 3rd 2021.
