Well they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. When I saw the Mopar tube doors I liked the red handle as it made it stand out and was clear (to open use this). So I wrapped and taped the daylights of my RR Fortis tube doors, coat of primer, then started applying a bunch of thin coats. Now if the weather will get with it and stop drizzling I can take my top & doors off.

Winch #1 arrived today

Took some scrap angle iron for brackets and was able to use half of my Dv8 license plate bracket to move it up under the bumper and snug against the skid plate

Gear swap today! ...except FedEx is useless and didn't deliver in time, so Jeep drivetrain is gutted 6 high on a lift somewhere. Waiting.

Terra Acoustics... GET THEM!!!

I thought my aftermarket Alpines dash speakers sounded great. They pale in comparison to these Terra Acoustics.

Did my Mopar 2 inch lift and Falcon SP2 3.3 over the weekend, and test drove it today. It rides sooo much better (no more bouncy ride). I can't wait to take it off road to try the different settings.

Amazing that NEW parts (minus shocks) for the lift kit were cheaper than those listed as used on Craigslist. I had to get bumpstops from Rubicon Express, as the Mopar parts were out of stock with no estimate of availability. I also installed Clayton front and rear adjustable track bars.

I have new wheels for later. Once the tires wear out, I'm leaning towards 35s (KO2s).

I'm OCD with cables.......so everything needs to be clean, flush mount, hidden or free of the dash.

Routed my mic cable differently, I hate cables or wires hanging over the dash

For an even cleaner set up, mount the brains of that Midland device behind the glove box. Many of us here have. Then you have basically no wire showing until you decide to plug in your handset. Then you just have the single cable.

Was going to do it eventually and have a bay available at school this semester so decided to go ahead and knock it out.

Built my own rock sliders using the factory Rubicon’s sliders. Schedule 40 piping plus an arc welder was still cheaper than buying aftermarket. Going to paint them white then put some grip tape on the top so people don’t slip getting in. Don’t laugh at my welds, it’s been 20+ years since high school welding class ?
