I wouldn't say it's a bad kit. I was actually dead set on it for the longest until Mopar started continously jacking the price up. Way too over-priced for what comes with it. Or should I say doesn't. I get inflation, etc. But it went from around $1400 to $2000 not including install which dealers also love to rape you with prices on. Doesn't even come with any kind of track bars.

Mopar loves to push the fact that it's a "warranty lift" When that doesn't justify the price especially when most all dealers blame problems on anything that isn't factory anyways.

Much better lift options out there. I went the AEV route. For now I'm just on the 2" AEV spacer lift. But I may get the AEV Dualsport, which is amazing I've seen and heard. Especially the geo correction brackets it includes. Clayton is a bit more pricey but also a great option.
Exactly this. For the $1200 I got the JL 2.0 kit for was just about the right price. 18 months later over $2k not a chance for that money I am gonna save a bit more and get something far better.

lmfao for real? That is so dumb.
Irony is if you have the MOPAR lift kit installed by a dealer it will be covered by a two year unlimited mileage MOPAR parts warranty and cannot be used as a basis for denying warranty while under the factory 3/36K bumper to bumper or used as a referenced denial of the factory 5/60K powertrain warranty.

You really need to find your exact contract language for the Maxcare warranty and ready it from top to bottom. Since it is actually a service contract and not a true warranty, there is language in it that gives them outs that would not be legal if you were still under the factory basic warranty coverage.

I am happy with mine, been on since new... like less than 10 miles new. However I paid parts and labor less than what it MSRP’s for today. It was one of the cheaper kits on the market at the time of purchase and it does fine. When I start to break things (unlikely with moderate use) I’ll start to dump $$$.

In today’s market, I might look at more complete or higher end kits at right around the same price.

No. The only way they can deny a warranty claim is by showing causality. If you use a Rough Country lift and get death wobble, you're on your own. But if your AC stops working, they can't point to the lift and void your whole warranty - it doesn't work like that.

Stick to brands with good reputations (Teraflex, Clayton, Quadratec, AEV, etc), torque things to the specs they say to, and you'll be fine.
I think Part B to your statements is to keep the lift mild (ie similar to the MOPAR 2" lift), and at most 35's for tires. Taller lifts throw the driveline angles more and more out of spec and taller/heavier tires put increased forces into your steering components. If you start to have transmission/drivetrain issues they'll absolutely point to a 4" lift and 37's and say "nope". Pay to play.

Other kits will break warranty though right? I was mainly doing the Mopar for keeping my 7Year 100k max warranty as well.
Your shocks, springs, control arms etc won't be warrantied by Jeep if replaced with a different brand but would most likely be warrantied by the company who manufactured the part

Mine got a new transmission at 22k miles with 35s and a tall aftermarket 2.5” lift. I just squeaked in. ?

None of your business.
I too like Mopar factory engineered systems. The Fox shocks are the real dealbreaker for me, based on my personal experience -ride and durability have been bottom tier from Fox. Others really love them. I think Jeep dropped Fox on the Rubis now too. This may have been primarily a cost issue, but speaks to their lackluster performance value.

I’d probably try and cherry pick the Mopar kit and then just supplement in my preferred shock brand. You’d struggle to do any worse than Fox ;). I’m mostly just being incendiary. The Fox apologists are true believers.

Others have already well addressed the warranty logistics.

I have the Mopar lift and 35's on my Rubicon. The lift rides really nice. Better then stock I think. But my 35's are a soft compound too. If you go with a 2" lift then you might as well get 37's. I regret not getting them and I plan to get them once I need new tires.
I second this!!! the 2.5 EVO life brought my Mojave up 4 inches and my 35s look small. Will definitely regear and 37s when I need new tired

I had the Mopar lift installed on my JT back in November 2019. 3.5yrs+ and 135,000 miles later and I still have it on. I not only offroad, but I tow and rock crawl as well. But the crazy part is that I only paid $1300 for the kit back then. It's crazy how much the price of that kit has risen. I would not pay the prices they are asking for it now.

I like the mopar kit. I think it rides better then stock. I'm from the midwest, so I don't do a lot of rock climbing, but mostly trail riding, logging trails, towing a boat, and sand (Silver lake sand dunes). I run 35's now and won't ever go beyond 37's on my next tire size. If i were a rock crawler or hard core 4 wheeler, I'd probably choose another kit, but it does it exactly what I ask of it.
I got mine back in 2021 when it was reasonably priced back then for $1300 bucks. Would I pay 1800 or $2K for it, no.

I installed my Mopar 2 inch in my garage, alone. Added Synergy track bars and now doing Synergy rear lower CAs to correct rear pinion angle. I like the kit and the way it rides. Done Berrago and Death Valley great. If I just needed springs I would really look at Synergy.
