That warranty is from the jeep website touting the many virtues of Gorilla Glass. The 24 month is in reality only twelve moths or twelve thousand miles

Still looking for the "factory installed option" GG windshield, but if you have it installed as an accessory, or post-delivery, this is the warranty (2 years, unlimited miles)

Was it installed at the factory when your Gladiator was built as an option, or was it installed after delivery by the dealership as a Mopar Accessory?

The warranty you quote is only for install after delivery. Factory install Gorilla Glass is not covered by that Mopar Accessory warranty.

According to the vehicle warranty dashboard, I'm covered, it can't be read any other way.

The GG windshield is snake oil. Mine lasted 2 days and it cracked all the way across. I returned to the dealership and there was not a GG replacement to be found. I had them put the regular glass in and upgrade my window tint for the difference in cost.

A year later and no cracks.

Which quite literally proves zip. Honestly.
I've got no cracks in my GG but my non-GG windshield in my 2020 broke twice, once within 6 months - and that proves?!? Exactly what you proved. Not a thing.

This is exactly why these "discussions" (and I use the term freely and lightly and loosely) don't mean s#!^ and are in effect, totally worthless.

Drink your coffee and calm down brother.

The point being that GG may not be an amazing upgrade to the standard glass and may not be worth the hundreds of dollars extra. I thought it was a neat idea to help prevent this long time issue and at least for me, it was not. I didn't get an opportunity to have it fixed before it split all the way across. I did not notice the event that caused the chip, so it wasn't like I heard something hit the glass and thought "Wow, that GG glass really held up, and I am so glad I shelled out all that extra money for it" (huge stupid grin on my face). It was more like this when I walked out in the morning on a normal balmy day (with heavy sarcasm), "Wow, that GG glass really held up, and I am so glad I shelled out all that extra money for it."

I have been Jeeping for over 35 years and you just have to figure in replacing the windshield every 1-2 years on average if you are lucky. The GG did not change that average for me at least.

Maybe you just want that neat decal it comes with to put on the toolbox. Sometimes a good sticker is worth the money.

It's covered if you got it installed after delivery.

If it was factory installed, Mopar does not warrant it.

This is talked about in the "other provisions in the Mopar warranty" that they mention at the bottom of the disclaimer.

What all this means to me is Jeep overhyped a product, (Gorilla Glass) and won't stand behind it. As far as the class action, it makes me happy to think of some, "Better call Saul" type going after them. No where in my documents is there any mention of the factory install rule of 12 months, in fact it says 36 months

Unfortunately the class-action has nothing to do with the advertisement or warranty coverage of GG.

You thought incorrectly. No one said it would prevent (although Jeep may have hinted at it)
Even Corning materials say it reduces, not prevents.
Since the outer layer is still soda lime glass, chips can't be prevented, only reduced in certain cases. Chips can be fixed.
So your chances are better, but not perfect.
You still proved nothing because no one said they won't chip or crack. Just less likely. It's sort of like fishing - the right bait or lure can increase your odds, but they don't guarantee anything.

Still chips, but can likely be repaired where the standard windshield is already beginning to crack from the start ->

First off, it says Mopar parts are warrantied for installations by a dealership, automotive service facility, or DIY installs. All of these are post-manufacture installs. It clearly does not say anything about factory installations:
Jeep Gladiator Gorilla Glass. Yes or No? 1686245641609

Reading more, you'll see the reason they don't cover factory installations: The factory warranty is supposed to cover those. Therefore, Mopar is not part of the conversation for factory installs. This prevents warranty double-dipping:
Jeep Gladiator Gorilla Glass. Yes or No? 1686245555440

Jeep Gladiator Gorilla Glass. Yes or No? 1686245537443

Jeep's warranty is the one you need to look at. Mopar's means nothing, absolutely nothing, to factory installations.

This has been hashed out multiple times over the years, and the answer is always the same. Mopar will do nothing, and has no obligation to do anything. The power rests with FCA, whose warranty on windshields is extremely limited and only applies to proven cases of defective installations.

If there's anyone to get mad at, it's FCA for their crappy warranty extension practices, not Mopar. If you order a Jeep with the standard windshield and get the dealer to install the GG upon delivery, the Mopar warranty is in effect. If you have it done at the factory, no Mopar warranty as the factory warranty dictates coverage. As ridiculous as that sounds, it's true and has reasons supporting it.

The MOPAR parts and accessories warranty is actually pretty good. Making it better is the fact that, other than certain performance parts with specific prefixes, they have a 2 year warranty, but if installed on a Jeep vehicle, for example, that has 34 months remaining, then that part inherits the vehicle's warranty. It clearly says whichever is advantage for the consumer. You get the longer of the two - remainder of the vehicle's warranty, OR the 24 month parts/accessories warranty.

Yes, the PDF document that begins thusly ->

Jeep Gladiator Gorilla Glass. Yes or No? 1686246897567

will not cover the factory installed windshield.
