Can't tell you the bad looks i'd get from the big twin owners on my iron 883 - the old timers loved my sportster no matter what they were on - the new fair weather riders really dogged on it - even though my sportster was faster, handled better and had more miles on it when i sold it (about 20k miles) then any of those big twin riders would ever put on any bike they rode in their lifetime lol. It was fun outrunning 114ci hopped up big twins in my 1250 upgraded iron 883.
Come on man, big bore stroked WGlide w 135hp cannot be out run by a hopped up Sporty

thats a 800 lb bike - and not all wglides are sporting those kind of figures - you have to shell out some big coin on a big twin to get there. A hammer 1250 with the right cams (on an 883 bottom end) exhaust and intake can make well over 100whp.

First post. This opinion is why I'm not a real jeeper even though as of yesterday I own a JK and JT.

Jeeps aren't special, and neither are you for owning them.
Name another light solid axle vehicle you can buy, go topless/doorless.. Jeeps are absolutely special (the good kind anyway).

Yes... although I did in stall some of those little skid plates on the low-hanging control arm and shock brackets.
I did the same thing Protected the low hanging fruit from the rocks.

Always loved these - was this when they started rolling out VTEC on the interceptors lol. Even the most hopped up harleys probably wouldn't be able to keep up. Sportbikes in general are in a league of their own. The sportster s is cool, but i wouldn't put it up against a liter bike.

I had the little cousin VF500F interceptor. Really sweet little bike. Super fun on the track back in the day.

I would give my left nut for an RC30. The right nut for an RC45.

I haven’t read the whole thread but….

If you don’t use your Jeep as an off-road vehicle in some capacity I think it’s a pointless vehicle to own.

Not really. In my area. If you have one vehicle. It should be a 4x4 of some type. Winter sucks at times. If you have 2 vehicles. One should be a 4x4 truck. The JL fits the need for some people.
