So those WW2 Jeeps went everywhere without big ass tires? Land Rovers too? Maybe those engineers knew something back in the day
Bigger, longer vehicle, bigger tires needed to achieve the same angles as something shorter smaller. A JT with 39s with a 3 inch lift is only equal to a stock jl 2 door Rubicon on 32.6s for break over

I only like my Jeep because it gives me something to wrench on every weekend.

Unpopular opinion:

It's OK to ask a question which has already been asked. And it's OK to reply to a years-old post. Because this is a forum, not a wiki. It's a place where people talk, not a formal library of a collection of facts.

Some people get upset if someone doesn't search and starts a new topic for something already discussed. Well then, don't get upset it someone replies to the old topic!

And some people get upset if someone replies to an old topic. Well then, don't get upset if they start a new discussion for something which was talked about years ago.

A few of y’all already mentioned it, but the word “overlanding” has lost all meaning within the last decade. And don’t even get me started on the gatekeeping culture surrounding it. It’s probably my number one source of irritation in and out all outdoor circles

People who've never owned or driven a jeep wrangler or gladiator that think they are not practical or high maintenance ... Just empty Every Pocket. and that troll that kept referring to the 3.6 as a minivan engine. So not the case for me and I'm on my third. Just rolls happily every day. My wife says you should be bale to get more brown soft tops and leather interior options. We don't do soul less transportation appliances.

For me as some stated, 1.Jeep wave, we all want to be part of something and I try to wave at my friends, strangers hmmm, 2. thinking we have the only capable off road vehicle , 3. maybe too heavy of a hardtop for single person removal. 4. Start stop is a pain I know I could buy a device to turn it off but my dealer frowns on it and I know it will be a problem in the future. Funny thought my dealer offered an extended warranty that covered everything but the start stop, I guess they even realize it will act up, but overall I got the coolest vehicle within my tax bracket on the road so!

Understand this is about unpopular opinions, but if you know how/where the Jeep Wave started, or at least what it's predicated on, maybe rethink things. I get people think it's stupid, and you're not alone, but I'll always do it.
