My unpopular opinion: Ducks are useless.

I'd rather a guy just say "Hey, badass truck." Or, throw me a thumbs up or head nod.

That said, I give all the ducks to my wife. She keeps a bag in her JKU and hands them out. That said, my truck gets tons of them. There is a big box in my hangar that is damn near full. Don't tell her, but I've been secretly throwing them away when she ain't lookin'

Jurassic Park jeeps are cool and all but, Daisy Duke's Golden Eagle "Dixie" needs more clones....

Also Naming your jeep has been cool since Daisy named hers....

Unpopular:
-Base sport, max tow sport, rubi, and Mojave are the only trims that should be sold out of the current line up.
-Coming from a SWE and a controls background, I don't care about any of the electronics in a vehicle that my phone can already do. They're marked up at a ridiculous cost for something my phone already does. I don't care about android auto, apple whatever (I'm not old either). The electronic offroad pages are a gimmick with the exception of sensors that measure roll, pitch, and yaw.
-the old unconnect I have in my 2021 base sport is sufficient.
-off road modes are useless, practically. Though brake lsd is an awesome concept
- Jeep doesn't want to be an offroad brand anymore. If they did, they'd lobby more for more places to do it, as well as help more with trail conservation efforts in the USA (hint: there's hardly any on the east coast compared to 40 years ago). They want to only sell you the idea of doing it, and I'm sure they will shoot themselves in the foot with their new strategy. The wagoner should be a high level trim on a wrangler, or a three row wrangler with high end suspension.
-they should of done what mahindra did and bring back older models as side by sides. Easy win. I'm dumbfounded as to why they didn't do that.

In the end, I'm not a jeep guy, though I respect a good bit of jeeps models. If someone made a mid sized 4x4, solid axle, manual diesel, I would of gotten that, no matter the brand. Though the gladiator is the closest thing in the US market and I've been happy with mine.

Not only is the wave annoying...now they have a specific type of wave. No thanks.

The 3.6 has enough power, imo.

I have two. First the easy one...Jeeps have many uses besides rock crawling and several models are capable as well as fun - you don't need a fully built Wrangler to be a "real Jeeper". So stop hounding or bullying people that don't have a rock-crawler build.
And now the real unpopular one...You only need 37's or larger if you are a unskilled off-road driver or you don't care about keeping OHV trails open.
Racing around in rain & mud or over massive obstacles on MOST trails is only damaging the trail and increasing the chances of closure when the level of damage or the difficulty to pass becomes to great. YES some areas are for hard core rock crawling, no issue with that or anyone going there to run those trails. The issue is to many people build out their Jeep and try to make every trail into a challenge by tearing it up or going off trail. Stop creating ruts. Go around some obstacles and learn to drive good lines, with good spotting, build your skills and you can do 80% or better of all trails on 33's or 35's IMO. Hell in the 1990's I ran 30's and went everywhere I wanted to go. <rant over - got it off my chest! lol>

2 more came to mind this morning:

1. naming your jeep is dumb
2. Your jeep is not a “beast”

Maybe it's not that dumb if you do it in private but to come onto a forum and post about it and spend 45 minutes telling people about the future mods you will do to your jeep while calling it the name you've given it is pretty goofy. I still can't believe believe some people come here and spend so much time posting intricate plans for their "build" like it's a baby shower of something.

Men are soft nowadays and cling to stuff from their childhood like starwars and Iam in my 40's. It's a sign of the times. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple dudes that read this will mention it to their therapist ?

I could fill volumes, but here’s 3 plus a bonus
  1. Fuel additives are snake oil (except 44K, on some old fuel injected vehicles)
  2. Most non-OE parts are poorly engineered if at all and poorly made or overbuilt
  3. A huge portion of, maybe most, lifted Jeeps rim backspacing or offset is wrong and they stick out way too much
Bonus: “overlanding” is just car camping with better marketing

This is very true. My YJ went everywhere on 31x10.50’s…it had no lockers and was wheeled all over the lower 48 with whatever gear ratio the factory installed in it.

Also…didn’t need those idiotic, poser, leaky roTAMPAX cans.

So those WW2 Jeeps went everywhere without big ass tires? Land Rovers too? Maybe those engineers knew something back in the day
