Anyone go with more narrow 35” tires?

I am the same way. I didn't want the tires throwing mud and crap down the side.
I went with the Nitto Trail Grappler 35x11.5 on Rockbridge 17x9 rims. The wheels have a little more offset than I wanted, but they put the tire right at the edge of the flare.

That looks nice and aggressive. I am also okay with putting something like the Recon package fender flare extenders to cover up a tiny bit that might be peaking out.

Put 35s on my 2022 stock rims. Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 285-75-18. Specs below. Liked these for sidewall strength for towing, lighter weight for better starting, stopping and mileage. And I like the Pizza Cutter narrow stance. No rubbing any where. Stock fenders and front bumper. Installing the Mopar Lift will only increase clearances. Dealer had a 25% off deal, came in cheaper than TireRack. Also had Dealer add a module to calibrate the speedometer. Did not change stock 3.73 gearing in the Dana pumpkins. You could always get a Tazer and calibrate the speedometer yourself.

Does narrow vs wide affect the need for regear? Like, is it easier to get a narrow or wider tire rolling, or same? I understand the contact patch and weight per inch, just don’t know enough about gears.
No. You're absolutely right that there's less rolling resistance in an 11.5" wide versus a 12.5", but gearing is diameter-dependent.

I’ve been running Kenda Klever 35/10.5/17 for about two years, 20k miles. I have a 2” Mopar lift and stick Jeep spare tire rims painted to match. They have been great on highway and performed well at several Jeep Jamborees (Moab, Tillmook, Uwharrie, SMORR, Llanno, and lots of Colorado trials). The price was really good when I got mine in 2021. I bought 5 and paid a little over $1200 mounted and balanced.

I went with a set of Toyo AT3 35*11.5/17's and the ride was an instant improvement over the OEM Firestone's. Though not listed on the Discount Tire website, my local manager took great care of me. There is a slight poke because of the small offset on my wheels, but nothing that bad.

I think this is what I’ll be replacing my original tires with. I have these tires on my F-350 and they have been put through some tough stuff and are still going great.
