I think maybe we've all been hoodwinked on this one. I thought this thread had to do with a harsh ride, but after re-reading it several times, I realized this was about a "hash" ride.

Yeah, that's why I went with a front receiver hitch and 8k winch on a Hitch plate. The winch rides in the bed under the tonneau cover until needed and then only when heading out into the wilderness. The stock tires/suspension does what I need it to do.

Not a bad idea. I have a hitch-mounted winch plate. Maybe I will try that. Do you have pics of the front receiver you installed?

Yes! But only outside pics, I didn't take any during the install and its too tight to get my camera up behind the brush guard. I purchased a Curt Trailer Hitch #31086 from Autozone. I did have to remove the shock resevoir mounts and notch/trim them and reinstall so the hitch would fit. Also notched out the steel brush guard for the Hitch.

I just replaced the plastic bumper on my 21 Sport S with a Mopar Performance off road bumper pn#8221569AD
Mopar grill/winch guard.
Mopar steel skid plate
Mopar winch plate
Warn evo10s winch
All that added a lot of weight to the front end so I added Teraflex 1 inch spacers to bring the front end back up a little.
It rides exactly the same.
I may add another spacer.

Not sure if you added the steel bumper or not but that is about a 60lb difference from the plastic bumper. Depending on the winch plate you added that's another 35-40 lbs. The Warn Zeon 10s is about 100 lbs. It's probably got your suspension sitting in a compressed position since it's not been engineered for the added weight.

I added the same winch and the Warn plate, (I already had the steel bumper off the lot), and it took a 1/4" out of my front end. I run the AEV 2.5" lift kit and it's designed for that weight to be there. Stock suspensions are not designed for that purpose.

Good luck with your suspension upgrade plan!
I did the same thing on my 23 Rubi. Zeon 10, mopar install brakets and full Rubicon oem bumper. Just finished with my AEV kit and it's perfect.

Just an update here, it's confirmed the 2024 Mojave X uses identical shocks front and back to 2020 - 2023 Mojave. The only change is the springs. So - if you're like me and want "Rubicon" - now Mojave too - front and rear steel bumpers you can simply swap springs and have it "factory like".

Front springs -68607513AB
Rear springs - 68607529AA

At least the bumpers are now compensated for, so the only "added weight" will be the winch and not the bumper and winch to the factory's expectation.

That is great news ecidiego, thanks!

What is the difference supposed to be with the Mojave X springs vs other Mojave springs? Is there a different spring rate or length?
