Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

Stopped by my dealer and spoke to the recall person (isn't it crazy that that's a full time position?)
Anyway, was told I was 5th on the list, but no parts in sight yet.

I took my 21 JTRD in for a leaking transfer case and leaking RR axle seal and they scheduled me for the HPFP recall. Parts arent in yet but told me mid Dec. Napelton CDJR Clermont FL. They replaced my TC and axle in 2 days though. Not too bad, and Ill take the brand new TC for free!

I called the dealer today. The service write said that all the parts are in but for one. Which should be in next week. Then I should have mine done the following week. She said that they have done 3 Rams so far. I will be the first Jeep.

Mine was ordered by the dealer 2nd week of November. Talked to the parts department today. Said 4 part #’s had been ordered for the recall fix. Had the pump and 2 other small parts. Waiting on an EGR gasket. Computer said 12/14 delivery.

When I originally took the JT in for recall appointment November 3rd. The service manager said that they had repaired 5 customer jeeps under the recall in the previous month. None before the recall. All were driven to the dealer, only received the pump replacement. Never had a HPFP failure that needed to be towed to dealer.

Does anyone have a copy of that pdf with instructions that was floating around? I know it was posted but can’t find it for the life of me. The service advisor said it was an inspection only recall and I’d likely be on my way. I know the SA isn’t turning wrenches, but I’d like to have the paperwork to show them that they are replacing the pump either way, whether they do the rest of the fuel system is what remains to be seen.

Got a call from my dealer today. Bringing my jeep in on Monday to get the recall done.

Jumping in on this thread to see others experiences. I found metal shavings in the filter housing when I was changing filters a couple weeks ago. Truck still runs fine. Just got it in to the dealer(earliest appt was a couple weeks out). They agreed with out looking at it that it was due to the pump and ordered parts on the spot. Was told it’s looking like a 1-2 month wait for all the parts to come in. Hopefully they’re being conservative on the timeframe because losing my truck in the winter really sucks!
