A few months ago when this was simmering to the top, I remember reading an article that part of California's argument was that any prior discussions was with then FCA that did not carry over to when it became Stellantis in 2021.
Itās outrageous. The costs of things in general have gotten pretty out of control in this phony ass economy.
Well, since Stellantis filed their complaint, I am certain this will be cleared up very quickly, to the benefit of all involved.
Because the whole picture is not mentioned.
Yes, don't complain too much. In the US every $ that you earn is (maybe, I am just guessing) worth 75 cents. In my country it is just 40 ...

This right here is something to seriously think about, and be thankful for. Lots of us Americans have an endless wish list. But we have things (not everything) way better than a lot of others. Especially if you consider ultra poor parts of the world, or places still truly living off of the land without even electricity or good well water. Always something to keep in mind.
The Feds can't afford to give up California, even if it was constitutionally possible. California funnels billions a year into Fed coffers. If CA left the Union, it would be a bust. It's no secret, however, that more people are leaving CA than going in, including my wife and I who left in 2013 (both native Californians). Given that by some future date, all vehicles sold in CA (and my state) will be electric, it's somewhat moot.
