Did your truck melt this summer?

I actually noticed it months back but I am just now washing the truck for the first time since September or October and took some pictures. We had record breaking heat waves going for weeks at a time this summer and parts of the door gaskets started to melt ?

Anyone else have this experience?

Trying to work up enough give a darn to clean the runs off.

Try Shaffers citrate I think it is called. I hit a bucket of tar driving my tractor in the ditch. The bucket rolled into my rim and cover almost the whole inside in thick tar. Nothing took it of very good until I found the Shaffers product. Work great. I have used it on my daughter's car getting rubber marks off her hood when a semi mud flip landed on the front of her car.

I used rubbing alcohol when mine did it, then just quick detailer once it was gone.

I keep a can of this around for a myriad of uses. It's very handy to have around.
Check your local auto parts stores.
The last can I bought off the shelf was about half the Amazon price.

I used something like that to clean airplanes back in the day. Thanks, I'll hunt some down.

Have it on 3 out of 4 doors on mine, noticed it after the first 90+ day.

It got much worse after this last summer after a 2 week heatwave of 90-100 degree temps. I kind of stopped keeping track of it at this point, although I will occasionally clean it up with some rubbing alcohol if it gets bad.

I’ve also noticed that same rubber strip, slid down about 1/4” on my rear door. But no stream of melted glue like yours.
