That’s what I’ve heard. And I’ve heard about the same for brand new fox 2.5 adjustables. I’ve heard as low as 20k for kings.

For daily drivers? That's silly. Not silly in a "I don't believe you" but silly in a "how is that premium to wear out that fast?"

Agreed. I don’t know the answer for daily driver or not. But I wouldn’t buy a JT as only a daily. Just me though.

Ah. Racing makes total sense. Those drivers don’t care. My wallet hurts every time I hear a noise, so I drive slowly.

I had reported (in a different thread) that I took my 2021 JT Mojave to the Jeep dealer service department because I was nearing the expiration of my 3/36 warranty and the suspension was creaking like an old truck that needed the underside lubed. Took it in Dec. 21st, and they looked her over, retorqued items on the front & possibly the rear as well, but also mentioned she "may need new shocks". Told me to drive it a little more & contact them after Xmas. Took her back in today (@ approx 35.3K miles) and they "troubleshot" for a couple hours. Gave me the key fob & said, "we've ordered you some new shocks for all four corners." However, the shocks are on back-order? So, Mopar is going through these Fox shocks, indicating a supply line issue &/or the shocks are failing at what I would say is "prematurely".

Now, I picked this JT up second-hand at a Jeep dealer. It had apparently been turned back in after a 2-year lease. Looked to be in pretty good shape with 32.8K miles when I snagged it @ about $18K below the original sticker price. So, I don't know how the lessee treated this vehicle (off-road, daily driver, IDK), but 33K is a lot (in my book) for just 2 years. But, I noticed the creaking noises probably about a month after I bought it. I normally have the stereo blaring and otherwise may have heard the noises earlier. Anyways, that's my story on these Mojave stock Fox shocks. Hopefully the dealer isn't just throwing parts at an issue they haven't figured out, but I'll take the shock replacement since I'm under warranty. They'll also keep the ticket open in case the replacement shocks don't quiet the suspension down.

On a side note, I mentioned to the service manager (again) about the A-pillar water drip (TSB covered the 2020 JT). He said, "Yep, we're aware and have reported it to Mopar, but they need to hear from the customers, because they blow us off." HMMMM. This is my first Jeep, and that is concerning. But, all of you who are tired of opening your front doors during a rain event and experiencing your floorboard carpet getting wet (future mold &/or corrosion scenario), then PLEASE complain to Mopar - as I have.

I just swapped over to the 3.3s. They seem great so far. I love the adjustability for different situations. They seem to be 20 shocks in one. I'm running with 3" Synergy coils. Soft setting seems a little stiffer than stock mojave shocks. I'm selling all old mojave parts if anyone is interested.

The only ones I've seen is on ebay for $1300. If I could pickup a set for $300, I'd jump on that. Now Rubi shocks are $300 all day long in WA.

Have a full set (rubicon) for sale on Whidbey- come grab them $50 ??


Shocks are truly an investment… and there are some good points being made about how long a vehicle is being kept… what is the intended use? How well will they perform? Etc. I am surprised to not see more folks chiming in on rebuilding shocks at home… power tank sells a nitrogen kit for a a reasonable price…. Shock oil isn’t that bad, and is a great excuse to spend a few hours in the garage drinking beer… Bilstien 8100’s are pretty straight forward- haven’t heard them mentioned yet. Ran their bypass on our jk and loved them. The ability to dial in pressures at different strokes is where it’s at.
The only other shock I would have put on the table for consideration (I think they stopped making) was the Fallon aDAPT shocks for their live adjustability.

??‍ $700 every 40-50k miles seems crazy to not move into something that can be rebuilt at home. Though I suppose some folks have more money than time/patience. (Not a stab- just jealousy )
