Couple mod questions

First, I'm just here lurking considering a gladiator purchase. Currently have a 2017 trailhawk.

Lookin at a Rubicon, in black and want to go for the TFT kind of wrap. I'm hoping that I can get the wrap to make the gloss black into a satin look.
as far as factory options, this is my first brand new vehicle, I'm 46 i figure its time lol. SO im kind of maxing out the options.
I Know there are like 40 bajillion options for mods, its a jeep after all.
DO most wrangler options fit the gladiator?

has anyone had the underneath bedliner/ undercoated ? I Live in NY and the salt is killer here.

Thinking about a tonneau cover vs a cap, any recommendations?

are there mods better purchased aftermarket vs getting from the factory? (I'm likely gonna mod the hell out of it, i do all my other vehicles).

what mods are most recommended? like quality of life stuff.

How liftable are gladiators? Same as wranglers? What lifts do you recommend? I'm not wanting to go big, maybe 2-3"

I have the BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover and have been very happy with it

Get the factory aux switches and factory tow package. It's a beeitch to install the aux switch kit after delivery. Black looks great for the first 10 minutes after you clean it, then you can measure the pollen count from looking at your hood.

BakFlip F1 here, about $50 more than the MX4 - both very nice covers.

I've owned black cars, yeah pollen is a pain.
I plan to add a xpel or similar hard wrap coating, self healing anti everything basically. given that i can easily dust the car. Or i have a car wash membership, drive through daily 40$ a month lol.

If you like modding things, you’ll love a gladiator. I’d start with either a rubicon or Mojave, depending on your use case. The rest I’d get aftermarket instead of from mopar. You’ll get better quality and spend less. Teraflex is top notch for lift components. Mine is a total Frankenstein. I’ve chosen parts from lots of vendors to best meet the goal. I’ve got teraflex control arms and wheels, springs from jks and bds, fox bump stops, EcliK shocks, Clayton track bar in rear, steersmarts tie rod and drag link, jks front track bar, skids from four vendors, and I could go on forever. I never get tired of messing with it to make it better.

Don't forget the Redline Tuning Struts. No more hood prop rod getting in your way while you work in the engine compartment. And they have a quick disconnect if you want to put the hood all the way back - word of caution - only put the hood all the way back if working in a garage or if there is no wind if working outside.

The Gladiator was my first Jeep purchase and my philosophy on mods is something I read on here before buying the Jeep. Regardless of which model you choose, drive it stock for at least a few weeks. Anything missing or that you’d like to change will become apparent fairly quickly. Waiting to upgrade things has kept me from buying things I would have regretted later.

As for mods, it has been my experience that everything I’ve done has been an improvement over OEM. There are a lot of inexpensive mods you can get from places like Amazon to make life easier like added storage trays or grab handles but for more specific upgrades like suspension parts, wheels or bumpers I’d go with a company that specializes in those items. Without exception, every company I’ve talked to has been extremely helpful, even those who I didn’t purchase from.

Two more items.... get the little support brackets that install on the sun visors, and a relay that will turn off your license plate lights when backing up. Search here for instructions/details. Factory options I strongly recommend: cold weather group, aux switches, tow package.
