Yep. It’s a 63 Quart ARB. I think that’s the biggest fridge that actually fits. It’s a great unit and I can monitor it from my dash mounted Garmin Tread.
That Garmin Tread is awesome. I've had mine for about a year and a half. Love it.

Were you able to install ARB's app on the Tread then?

EDIT: I literally loved the use of "pearl clutching" becuase my wife and I use that term all the time...LOL
My “Pearly Clutching” comments was for the shrieking violets that only see things as something binary (right/wrong, either/or, black/white, etc…) and not for the reality of this discussion of oil that there are allowable margins to play in on both sides of the line without worry if one is to understand the science.

Working as an electronic engineer in my day job, I do not pretend I am an expert versed in the petroleum science but consider my self to have above average understanding of the field as layman hobbyist of it. I am sure that sounds like hubris or arrogance depend on how someone reads this, but I stand by it.

With that, I understand the dance with the devil in doing what I do and accept those risks.

Ahhh yes. I see that I even replied to that thread a while back. I just downloaded and installed the Renogy and Dometic Apps. Seems like they only work in portrait mode. Is that what you have found in your use?
There’s another app I installed that can force orientation for various apps or the unit itself. Orientation rotation has never worked right on my Garmin unit. So I got this app to force the screen to rotate. I think that’s what I used to force individual apps. I’ll take a look at the unit to see what I did when I get a chance.

That would be great. I downloaded one orientation control app which crashed everything and I had to do a factory reset; so if you have something that’s working, it will save me a lot of trial and error.

This is what I’m running app wise below. Note: I’m running Garmin 9.4. YMMV with the more recent updates. The release notes say “various bug fixes and improvements.” I hate that vague crap. I’m not sure if closing the sideloading loophole is a thing devs do for Android. I could totally see that happening in the Apple world at the API level.

As for the apps, I’m running an app called Rotation Control. I’m not sure now how I got landscape to stick in the Renogy and ARB apps, but Rotation Control adds a menu entry to the Android drop down control doohickey (Sorry, I speak Apple as my first language). You can use that to flip apps. Mine are sticky. Sometimes Renogy will start in portrait and immediately flip. Honestly, it’s awesome being able to monitor my battery system, charging, solar charging, inverter and fridge from the dash. I’m going to get Garmin’s power controller too.

For anyone who thinks they may get a GPS and is also thinking about a switch pros type controller. This Garmin ecosystem may be a cheaper, better option.

Thx. I’ll have to play with it some more I guess. That Rotation Control app is the same one I installed but it cr@piped out on me. Had to factory reset and still can’t get things back to where I was before, none of my routes, waypoints, etc. will sync over.

I feel you on the Apple speak as I’ve been an Apple user since the first iPhone

Check the versions. Also I remember having issues getting some stuff installed and I got warnings about version compatibility. I didn’t have the Garmin crap out on me though. Might just be luck of the draw.

Changed out the simulated beadlock bolts on my RockTrix wheels for some red ones to accent the red on the JT.

My first DIY filters change on the EcoDiesel Gladiator. Other than my FRS which came with free oil changes for life, I’ve always done my own maintenance, but I’ve been using my free Jeep Wave changes until now mostly being pissed at the dealership afterwards.

After doing this, I have thoughts:
  1. I have no idea how my dealership managed to coat the entire truck with oil when they changed it last time. Based on that, I figured this would make a mess, but the cup where the filter housing screws in catches all of the excess oil. With just a rag to catch the drippings when I removed the filter, I spilled zero oil
  2. 25NM is 18.43 ft/lbs is not very tight. The filter gets tight at first and then loosens up before finally tightening down. I also have no idea how my dealership got this wrong too. I was left stranded, with the truck throwing a no oil pressure code. They did update the ECU, after it was towed back. My understanding is the issue is a too loose filter, not too tight, so did they just leave the damn filter loose?
  3. When I started the truck I immediately got a no oil pressure warning. The gauge indicated it had pressure. The light didn’t go away so I turned the truck off and started it again. The no oil pressure warning and oil light were off and stayed off. This engines electronics are flaky and weird with the air flow and this oil change weirdness. I get the immediate warning but you’d think it would clear on its own and not require a restart or would be persistent.
  4. I’m not taking my truck back to a dealership for any maintenance again, free or not. Also with the 27MM hex on the filter and the rather high mounting of the filter, this is one of the easiest oil changes I’ve ever had to do. Also I found the Penzoil Euro Platinum on Amazon for around $7.50/qt. My dealership wanted over $12. They wanted $110 for the oil filter. I got it for $73 at MoparPartsGiant. It was a similar delta for all the rest of the stuff.

  5. I also did my air filter. I’m curious to see how much cleaner my snorkel keeps the filter. On my TJ, it did a lot. I was a cheap bastard so I didn’t change the dirty filter when I installed the snorkel. It looks about the same.

  6. I changed the fuel filter. I’m not super happy about this whole deal. The skid skid bucket sucks. The bolts are stupid long and I don’t know if they screw into sheet metal or pudding but they feel weird. The cap feels weird and screechy when loosening it. The o-ring stretches out considerably. Filter was dirty but I’ve seen worse. What really bothered me was the priming. I primed it at least 10 times. The pump sounded weird, like the scratchy friction sound of the filter housing. The tone never changed. This is a new recall replacement pump, btw. It still wasn’t primed and had to run for about 5-10 seconds before starting. I’m not really bothered by that beyond the priming accomplishing nothing. If running a vehicle fuel pump dry-ish for 10 seconds damages it, time to ghost ride the truck off a cliff. But it also had to run for several seconds the second time I started it! After that, it’s been fine. I’m planning on getting a belly skid sometime this year. That filter housing seems like a liability and there’s a Lite-Brite video of a guy smashing his on the Rubicon with the stock skid

  7. Cabin Air filter. I ordered the filter based on the Mopar parts site diagram. But there were two filters, not one. I’ve now read the thread on this silliness. I ran to Napa and got a big filter. I’m glad I changed them. They looked like squirrel nests.

So I'm kinda drunk at the moment but my dealership also poured oil all over my engine bay. There was even oil in the gaps in the cover. It was insane.
As for the oil light, there was something I had to do on previous diesel vehicles to cycle the engine multiple times to get it to register the level. I'll either be updating this with information later, or being embarrassed about my post. Can't wait to find out which it is!
Also had the problem with the cabin air filters. It was such a PITA finding the right ones.
