I’ve had a couple of different ads, mostly for SiriusXM. This extended warranty crap is new. I’m at 41k miles

wow, it was only a matter of time before sleezy manufacturers started to use the big navi screens as marketing billboards. I wonder if they’ll start selling the “ad space.”

Strange that this was brought up this morning. Had it come up twice about an hour ago on my 22 with 25,600 miles

my dad works at jeep and writes the software for that ad to pop up and he said specifically it's made to show up when there's too many ducks on your dash.
I'm very tempted to get a No Ducks sticker for my truck, someone jammed one between the wiper arm and blade yesterday while I was at work.
Stop touching stuff that doesn't belong to you.

So, I take it if you had the base sport without the larger touchscreen and the jeep carefully tracking all that you/we do... not only we wouldn't be tracked, but we wouldn't be 'pushed' Peace of Mind messages--- we'd instead, be left in peace....

they should have put that on the window sticker of the base sports... 'guaranteed peaceful bliss'

I'm guessing they are getting at you through CarPlay.

Is your iPhone connected to the JT when you get the message?

It’s not CarPlay. I’ve gotten messages when first starting up before CarPlay connects. This is using the SiriusXM system. It’s the same thing that allows it to send telemetry about your service status, fuel tank, etc. The satellite functionality it always present.

That’s the additional kick in the teeth about this. I refuse to pay for the insanely overpriced garbage SiriusXM security/convenience packages. The remote door lock only worked about 25% of the time. The remote start via phone/watch was the same way, about 25% functional. I wasn’t going to pay $250 a year for that. But Jeep is still going to use that system to shove ads in my face while I’m trying to navigate or use my radio. So they keep the system active for their purposes but I have to pay for the same privilege on a $70k truck.

its only going to get worse with these continued requirements for subscriptions.

Not sure how much it matters, when we purchased our vehicles, we told the sales guy that we want to opt-out of any future sales/marketing crap. We did have some of that SiriusXM nonsense, but that’s been it.
