About $150 just for the required oil plus filter. Is it 3 times the cost good? ?
It depends on who you ask. For some people, yes. For one, you can run Amsoil MS for longer drain intervals. It also results with less oil vapor going into the intake. Once you get some miles built-up, you could be looking at a longer lasting intake, EGR cooler, and DPF.

How did you see it being the best oil? Can you expand on your statement? I've noticed we like facts around here all of sudden.
We've looked at dozens and dozens of oil analysis reports. Amsoil MS has the lowest wear metals and doesn't shear. We've got a few people experimenting with a few high-end oils that compete with Amsoil MS, but nothing so far has outperformed it.

Who is "we"? Where are these reports? All oils shear, thats how they work.

You are continuing to be so vague and inconclusive its apparent you have no idea what your talking about.
I'm no longer going to respond to someone who clearly has not read this entire thread. I'm part of a group of enthusiasts that has taken time to collect and analyzes the results from dozens and dozens of oil samples. I personally know two of the most reputable EcoDiesel engine builders who have also analyzed the parts at various stages of teardowns. As a matter of fact, one of our Amsoil guys will be turning 500,000 miles this week on his 2nd gen EcoDiesel. We have guys in our group who are tribologists and work for well-known established companies including HPL. It also helps that we have contacts in Europe (those who work inside of VM Motori). There's a lot that we know about the Gen 2 and Gen 3 engine, and we continue to learn as we go.

If I were you, I would be thankful for the tidbits of information that I share. There's only so much time in the day and I'm not going to go deep into detail. I've posted plenty of UOA samples in this thread and I'm happy to answer most questions.

He reminds me of "gladbrennan", "brennanglad" that was banned for being an ass.

This guy "charleswilliam" (notice that his join date is pretty much when brennanglad was banned) was adamant you needed a scan tool to do the transmission fluid level check and I provided documentation that was not the case and the EVIC could also be used. Got his panties bunched over it.

When he posted here asking @biodiesel to provide "facts", I knew he was baiting an argument.

Yeah, it's him. He tried to DM me asking what dealership I go to and if they warranty me, etc. I gave him some random dealership name from Google. The fella clearly needs to get a hobby.

Not sure what his train of thought is... though he's clearly mentally inept. I sincerely hope he calls the random dealership I gave him and starts trying to tell them there's a modded Jeep that comes in ? Fella needs to see a doctor.

I'm all for posting as much data as possible, but he wasn't willing to go back and read this thread which has many UOA results.

He's running the same MO as Glad. Wonder how many more times he's going to try to get on this forum? He's gone from being an engineer to a teacher. It seems like it's the diesel section that he spends most of his time trolling.

See that the mod's wiped out all of his posts.

The fella clearly has a screw loose, so I would expect many more times lol. Unfortunately permanently banning someone is impossible. IP bans don't work seeing as most residential routers reset their lease weekly, or you can literally just unplug it and it'll reset it for most ISPs.

I feel bad for the mods who put so much effort into this forum and have to deal with wackos like him.

......and if he has more than one email address. That makes it even harder for the mods.

Well, I better start backing some of my posts with 'facts' or I might get called out for being a liar again, lol.

Here's the latest update I received this morning.

He did the same thing to me in another thread. I answered his question and thought it was done and the next day, it was like his brained was wiped clean and started into the same shit again.

I moderate on a gun related forum that uses the same software as here. For relatively new members, there is a one click "Spam Clean" option that will totally erase a new member and all their new posts. The admin/mod here does not have to go and individually erase each post.

That is just beautiful. I change my oil so frequently that I just use whatever's on sale and meets specs. My RAM EcoDiesel (Deleted) the oil is insanely clean even after 7,500km. I'm about to start doing oil analysis on my Gladiator as well to start monitoring that after the EGR delete.
