I leave mine unlocked hoping someone will steal all the stuff my wife keeps putting in there, straws, napkins, etc.

Yep first new vehicle I bought locked glove compartment rotten bastard opened it with a crowbar.

Father-in-law leaves the key in the ignition. It's a 2010, but he has been doing it since new

Locking it should slow them down enough for everyone to ignore the alarm.

While you are all at it, did you know your key can lock the back seat in the up position. To protect contents in the back??

No offense, but did you read any of these replies? The back seat lock has been mentioned several times in this thread.

For those who don't read the manual and didn't have a good salesman, FYI the steering wheel can not only be moved up/down when the column adjustment lever is released, but moved fore/aft as well.

The thing I learned last month after 4 years of ownership is that there are rear seatbelt holders built into the side panels to help stop all the flapping due to wind.
