I'm trying to decide between the hk mopar speakers and the infinity 3.5s for this very reason. Unknown specs, maybe 2 ohm, probably low efficiency as they are oem vs 93dB efficiency, 3 ohm to further help get the power output closer to stock, "appears" to be much higher quality, on sale at crutchfield for the same price as the mopar hks, and still plug and play as they include adapters. Hoping someone on here has tried or at least heard both in person for an apples to apples comparison?
All I can say is the HK Mopar speakers are LOUD and Clear. And I am very picky, I have always done full systems in my vehicles with high dollar equipment. I would put these HK Mopar speakers in before any aftermarket ones unless I was using a high power amp..

The infinity 3.5s are only rated at 25w rms, so no high powered amp needed. The factory Alpine amp is rated 23w rms if I remember so perfect match. They are also made by...harmon kardon. At $69/pair on sale unless I can find the hk mopars at that price new I can't see any reason to not go infinity.

Anything you buy from Crutchfield has an excellent return policy, nothing to lose to try.. As a former CI (Home audio/Home theaters) I am WAY more picky than most when it comes to audio especially stereo/2-channel music (if you heard my 2-channel system in my media room that I built, you’d know what I mean..😉). The Infinity’s are louder (measured directly with SPL meter) and WAY cleaner than the stock alpine speakers. I never tried the mopar speakers, but then again I don’t generally like anything that is made specifically for car manufacturers to sell in their cars. But, that’s just me.. Everyone has choices, I would bet the mopar sounds very similar in clarity and loudness as the infinity’s. Only thing I’m not sure of is the return policy for the mopars. If it’s good like Crutchfield, then buy both and keep the ones you like best.. Easy to swap out, nothing to lose.. 🍻

The return policy is the Kicker. I can only find the mopar speakers from parts suppliers or ebay and they cost almost double what the Infinity’s are on sale for. I just can't imagine they are better, let alone 50% better.

I haven’t heard them, but completely agree. I’d put my aftermarket alpines from Crutchfield against them any day. I’d happily eat crow if I was wrong, but I doubt it. And I love Crutchfield, @Pat42. You’re clearly a resource for those of us that only know enough to be dangerous. Only 5 years ago did I realize what you’ve known for ages. There is just something amazing about high quality 2 channel stereo with a sub. I usually have my living room set on 2ch. I only switch it to 5.1 for parties.

I have heard both... My friend bought the aftermarket Alpine system from crutchfield. I was not impress with it at all, it didn't even have as much bass as my factory OEM alpine system. He ended up adding another sub behind the rear seat.

Again to each their own... But if you haven't heard them both you can't compare them - I have heard them both... (aftermarket Alpine, Mopar HK, Rockford Fosgate and Kickers, Non Alpine Factory radio, Factory Alpine radio, ect...)

My last Gladiator I went full tilt with aftermarket equipment..

But have you heard the Infinity 307’s installed in the dash and soundbar and compared them to the mopars in the same vehicle/same electronics? And measured SPL to confirm output? I can’t speak for anything myself except the stock “upgraded” alpine speakers compared to the 307’s and Seven Trails Kicker System. Kicker system was ok, but it was not as loud as the 307’s (again measured) and though the clarity of the the mids and highs were better than the stock alpines, not as good as the 307’s and the kicker system cost over twice as much as two pairs of 307’s. Again, from what I am hearing from the people that have purchased the mopars that it sounds to me that what is being described is similar to what I am hearing with the 307’s (minus the verification of loudness with an spl meter)..
But, there are too many variables to compare different speakers unless you compare all of them with the same electronics in the same vehicle..
I’ve been in audio for over 40 years home and car. For example home speakers in a different room/electronics will sound vastly different if in a different room/electronics. Direct comparison is the only way to go..

I didn’t buy the whole 2k alpine system. I used the 6.5 alpines in the sound bar, 1” alpine tweeters in the dash, a micro 200w 4ch 50x4 alpine amp for the speakers, and a Memphis powered 10” sub behind the back seat. I can’t recommend that sub enough for these trucks. No custom boxes, no additional amp as it’s built in, takes speaker level units, and it comes with a remote level control. And the bass is fantastic. I really like that I lost almost zero storage space.

No question. I’d recommend my setup to anyone, but wouldn’t be able to recommend just the speakers. The combination of my head unit, amp, speakers, sub, and tuning adjustments sounds great. But too many variables together to simply say, “these speakers are great”.

Do you have the stock alpine subwoofer too? Running both together in tandem or just the Memphis sub?
I am sure adding the separate amp helped immensely too..

Nope. I started with the stock system with the 7” head unit. The end result consists of original head unit and knee speakers, and the items I mentioned. It sounds fantastic. Not Focal fantastic, but really great for $900.

Oh, ok that makes sense then.. I probably would have spent more money on upgrading as well. But I have the 8.4 screen with the alpine sub, etc. Not the greatest sub by any means, but it will do.. If I want to do critical music listening at home in my media room.

FWIW, I installed the speakers from Crutchfield's today and am very pleased with the results.
Easy installation and I can finally hear music coming from the dash speakers.
I can't compare them to the Mopars, because I don't have those, but they brought my dash alive!
So glad these were posted as an alternative to the Terra Acoustics. They always seemed overpriced to me.

Also, note the manufacturer on the Infinity speakers.

Hartman International is now a massive brand, they also own JBL. You can compare the factory Harman Kardon with These at all… the factory HK speakers are made in Mexico and they look like OEM speakers, in a good way.
