Does anyone have any real world experience on how long you can leave a gladiator parked with no activity before the battery won't start. I am driving a 2nd car and had mine sitting for about 10 days. I moved it in and out of the driveway so there were probably 2 times it was started and move 20 feet. The battery wasn't dead but it wouldn't turn on. I thought this was a rather short period of time but honestly I can't remember ever leaving a car much longer than that. I understand cold weather etc affectst this but its summer now. Maybe a better question to ask would be can I leave my truck sit for 2 weeks and expect the battery to still have enough charge to start the truck.

The Gladiator has a high parasitic draw, especially with the cellular equipped head units (remote features capable). If it is not being driven enough to keep the batteries charged, it needs to have a battery maintainer connected.

It can sit for five to fifteen days, and still start, depending on the condition of the batteries and the state of charge when it was parked. This is also affected by the environment and age of the batteries.

I know for a fact that from the May 30 through June 22 my truck sat untouched. Not started. Basically 3 solid weeks. No battery tender. I was a little worried. Got the aux switches not ready message. Been driving it since with no issues. Mind you I have the Odyssey battery H94 I believe it is.
Edit:
It started right up!

Thanks that’s very helpful. The dealer replaced the battery 18 months ago and probably put in some piece of junk. I think I just need to put in a real good quality battery.

Jeep OEM batteries are not known for their quality or longevity. In my first Gladiator, they lasted just a little longer than the warranty. Others have had them die much sooner.

These are what I prefer. You can pay much more for Odyssey and others, and get decent from Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, but these are a good overall compromise for quality and value.

This is exactly my experience, I put a charger on it if it’s left for over a week and the charger usually reads 50% when I connect it.

I have had mine parked for up to 2 weeks or a few days longer and still had plenty of battery power - but also I am using a high quality aftermarket battery... I would think you should be ok for 2 weeks at a time but any longer than that, or if you start it for a minute just to move it 100' then shut it off I would consider a battery tender or a small solar unit to keep it topped off.

We drive the Gladiator EcoDiesel as needed, which is approximately 2 - 4 times each month. It has always started, but I think the longest period with a no-charge/no-start has been just a little over 2.5 weeks. From my understanding, the diesel comes factory with a larger AGM battery than the Pentastar version. Since learning about the battery issue, I now charge, maintain, and desulfate the battery at least once every two weeks.

As others have said some Jeeps with the aux switch option perhaps come with the next size larger battery a 94R, if you look on the front side of you current battery and see a little clip at the bottom of tray and perhaps an inch of open space, you have the smaller battery.I swapped my wife’s JL to larger battery when her battery failed, peace of mind and not much extra. I have a company truck for work and my Glady has sat for two weeks a few times and three weeks at least once, no problem…..Jack

My 2023 JTM sat for about six weeks. I had surgery and couldn't even sit in it. Apart from my daughter starting it once or twice for 5 minutes, it wasn't driven at all. I've been driving now (short distances) for two months and it starts normally. The charging voltage usually starts at 14.5V and ends up at 14.2V. Not too good according to other posts I've read here. So I have a Battery Minder on the way. I'm going to use the seven pin trailer plug to keep it charged when parked.
FWIW I bought it in January 2024 so it was sitting on the lot for quite a while. Maybe the dealer charged it periodically but I don't know for sure.

I have a four year old Gladiator, original battery. Went on a work trip recently for nearly 4 weeks. Came home, got in the Jeep, hit start, and it started without hesitation. If you're not starting after 2 weeks I'd say something is wrong.

Diesel comes with the 94R, which is the upgraded battery in the gasser.

I have a (February) 2022 Mojave and I got my July Vehicle Health report from Mopar yesterday and it says: "Based on your Vehicle Data we predict you will need a battery soon". (And then offers a link to schedule service)...Does anyone know how Mopar can tell I "need a battery soon", and should I take this notice seriously?
