Here is Fram's filter with the standard media. Hopefully the new filter (with the better media) will be released soon.

Is the better one the Ultra media?

The new filter will either be in the Ultra Synthetic or the Synthetic Endurance media.
Do you want to post a link to filter discussion on the EcoDiesel forum you mentioned?

Why not share the full synthetic media filter for us all ???
@RudeJeepin asked for the link to a different forum, which I'm not allowed to post here. There's nothing really to read since Fram hasn't released their newest filter. There's a group of folks that are testing these filters. Once some of those results are available, then I will post that information here.

Oh! Excellent!!! I was annoyed because I could not find a top tier filter for this thing, would have been nice to know … little did I know, such product still doesn’t exist (yet).

Thanks!

Everytime I try posting the results. It won't copy and paste. Or even doing attaching files.

Darn , does it work if you send it via dm then I can post it ? I'm curious on the viscosity if it stayed in grade vs sheering down.

Here's an odd development. Doc's Diesel just released an "EcoDiesel" specific oil advertised as meeting Chrysler MS-12991. However, my understanding up to this point is that Chrysler MS-12991 oils are full SAPS 5W-40 euro oils, whereas this product is a mid SAPS oil. I'm not aware of any other mid SAPS oils claiming to meet MS-12991. This is strange because Mid SAPS oils are API SN certified, but they are not ACEA A3/B4 certified as supposedly "required" by the owner's manual. If this product does in fact meet Chrysler MS-12991, which Jeep "recommends," but does not meet ACEA A3/B4, which Jeep "requires," then that creates a contradictory potential for a customer to use an oil that Jeep "recommends" but is not up to manufacturer "requirements." As if this landscape weren't confusing enough...

I thought SN or higher required. I don't recall a acea requirement

That oil is actually Hot Shot's Secret in a Doc's bottle.
