I've been running their EDT and Diesel Extreme for about 6 years. It's a very good product. There's been owners/operators who thought they had a bad DPF, so they resorted to Diesel Extreme as a last-ditch effort. Sure enough, it cleaned their injectors and restored their regens back to normal.I'll just stick with their fuel additives lol
Viscosity and Flashpoint are still in spec which excessive fuel dilution would bring down.
Are you saying Blackstone under reports those parameters also in addition to fuel dilution?
The Moly, Boron, Calcium and Magnesium numbers would suggest those were a different oil.but look at the other older ones. 11.16 & 10.68 cSt. Were those also STP?
Yes I noticed and suspected that. The 4th one almost looks like the 1st STP one but still a little different. The problem is with known wrong numbers from Blackstone, are they all the same oils lol? Either was, I would not use any of them when you see the numbers from Amsoil MS, Molygen or HPL.The Moly, Boron, Calcium and Magnesium numbers would suggest those were a different oil.
I found one virgin sample on BITOG of it and about the only difference was the virgin cStI have not seen any samples with this oil anywhere.
The one from 2015? I wounder if they changed anything since then? The last update on the product data sheets was in 2023. I'll do my 1st UOA next year.I found one virgin sample on BITOG of it and about the only difference was the virgin cSt 40c viscosity was 13.1 vs. the 12.22 of the sample in question here.
Want to make sure I understand correctly. If you have the stage 2 and not worried about the DPF, is the Amsoil MS still considered the better oil for engine wear or is something else better for the eternals? ThanksIt depends. Stage 1 delete disables EGR, but still uses DPF. Stage 2 delete will remove the DPF entirely. So, within the context of what we've been discussing, you only have to worry about using a low ash oil if running the DPF (stock tune or Stage 1 delete). I hope that answers your question.
As of right now, you can't go wrong with Amsoil AFL MS in either a stock or deleted EcoDiesel. Just the MRT tuning alone is impressive, but Amsoil MS can go the distance on the deleted tune. It's easily a 10,000-mile oil interval on a deleted truck.Want to make sure I understand correctly. I wasn’t referring to the STP I was referring to Redline Oil Euro im running now. I’ve only seen VOA in 2015 of that oil and no UOA. It’s gonna take three samples before I get a trend going so that’s a number of years ahead.
The ISO certified labs are the most reliable and offer the most data. I use Oil Analyzers, which is a subsidiary of Polaris Labs.So who's the most reliable oil testing service?
You can pull a sample whenever you feel that it's necessary. I pull oil samples at the end of each interval. I pull coolant samples every 1 - 2 years. I pull a gear lube sample at each interval. I pull transmission fluid samples at each interval. Then I adjust my intervals based on the lab results. When do you pull a sample?
It's a good oil and tests very good.Last does anyone have motul excess gen 2 samples sheet?
Quaker state and ppThe current sample almost out of spec if that is being reported accurately by Blackstone we don't know. but look at the other older ones. 11.16 & 10.68 cSt. Were those also STP?
