I'm still sticking with that departure angle is horrendeous!....something just isn't right We'd get hung up on the most basic water crossing exit or burm entry with that set-up. Fingers crossed I am wrong!

I'm kinda digging the steel wheel + fat/tall tire look....but it does need some lift.

You guys with the 2wd variant idea may be onto something. Last time Jeep had a truck there were 2wd models. This is one way to get production numbers up (to recover development costs) and steal marketshare (i.e. Honda Ridgeline) with a lower priced model. But this would fly in Marchione's "intentionally expensive" a55hat comment and not be consistent with Jeep's go anywhere brand.

When Gladiators first came out, they were called Tail Draggers. The overhang never stopped me from getting anywhere. A little lift along with sensible driving and we'll all be fine. Mine still has the original rear bumper, complete with the extremely rare plastic end caps. But the departure angle could be improved with a different bumper. Earlier this year:

Thanks. Notice how the bottom rear of the bed angles up. I'm wondering if the JT will also do this. It's impossible to tell with them all camoed up. If so, it may be considerably easier to improve the departure angle with an aftermarket bumper.

AEV did such a great job with the bed. I really like the square edges. If Chrysler makes some kind of rounded atrocity I won't be able to stomach it. Jeeps need square lines.

Honestly AEV did an amazing job with the Brute. I really hope the JT is the brute (lookswise) with more truck capability. (ie diesel and more payload), As then it will be perfect IMO.

I honestly could go with about 4-6 more inches of stretch on this thing! I love it, but rear wheels just seem a little too close for proportion sake. But, maybe a stretch would be easily done?

Like, how about that bruiser conversion JL crew @ SEMA...SICK and the perfect length in my opinion!

Qudratec snapped these photos. Wow that overhang looks long on these photos. I wonder if it's an extra long bed option. You can see the rear bumper tow hooks too.
