Don’t go cheap on the winch plate you are putting a 12,000 pound winch on it.
There have been posts here of winch plates bending with use. Fishbone makes a nice one but there was a reason it would not work for my custom install, I think it had to do with Mojave shocks or the front receiver hitch I have. LOD makes a great one and powder coating is real good. Check
out Metal Cloak they just came out with one and they make good stuff. The Apex synthetic winch is 67 pounds there are lighter winches out there , but Harbor freight sells them at way less then half anyone else it is the number one resin people buy them…..Jack

This happens everytime harbor freight as a great deal on these winches we run out of the Grimm winch plates because they fit so nice with that winch. We have more in the way but with Xmas and new year coming it may be first week of January

I really like that it bolts up BEHIND the frame, so it‘s pulling on the frame, not just the bolt heads, which I always found strange…

Got my local HF to honor this sale the following day after asking on the 19th when I showed up they were out of stock and they had 6 incoming on a late trailer.

after getting home i noticed when ringing it up, they manually punched in 240$ as the total price instead of subtracting that from the original sale price, so i got it for 60 percent off. I should have bought 2

got it installed this weekend. I’m happy with the look and fit of the apex badlands in combination with the Mopar winch plate. I jerry rigged a bracket for the kill switch out of some old wheel well plastic laying around.

just need to get the clutch handle bobbed to engage free spool, or find another handle if anyone is aware of??

Well this was my first foray into modifying my Mojave. I don't count tube doors or step rails. Took me longer than it should but I am happy with the results. Went from stock bumper.

To arcus bumper and apex winch.

I did relocate the positive wire from the back of control box to side, made life easier.

Question were you able to use the bolts provided for the badlands hawse to bolt on or did it require longer bolts? If so what size did it take?

I was able to use the bolts with a washer, but I ditched the lock washer so I could capture all threads. I opted for some blue loctite.

That's almost exactly how I got mine for $300 (tax included) a couple years back.
