The cab is angled at the back side to allow for overlap from the rear flare to bring the rear section in tighter to the cab.

The JT uses rhe JLU doors out of necessity- without this part sharing, it never would have come into existence.

The way the doc states "Crewcab configuration features a 5 foot steel bed..." seems to imply another configuration may be available (?). An 8' bed with a 2 door mebbe...

I personally do not want a diesel vehicle ever again. the requirements on emissions is adding complexity and unreliability ( imho). I would much prefer a V8 actually. but a v6 pentastar and i think maybe a supercharger.
Anyhow- what are the chances the new light weight hood/ .doors/ fenders and that front 'offload camera will make it on to the JL?

*Yawn* I can't believe the hype about this "leak". AEV did a much better job IMO. You can get a used Hemi Brute for what they are going to charge for this. I'm guessing $50-60k

Maybe, but are there going to be 100,00 used Hemi Brutes laying around next year and another 100,000 the year after and so on? I'm guessing the Rubicon trim without selecting any extra options will start at 50k and easily reach 60k with a few clicks of the mouse.

Seems weird to this old skool guy to have a wiring harness into the tailgate. But, the middle brake light, the camera and the power lock all need it, so...

It is weird but if its wired i hope the tailgate has a power lock that also has a auto kill switch if the doors or top are off

The Brute, however, is less a truck than a Wrangler with a bed. Tow rating is the same 3500# of the JKU.
