Double check my numbers please?
The Crawl ratio is 77.4 to 1 on the Ecodiesel.
I just want everyone to recognize that with 455 lb/ft of torque, that multiplies out to 35,217 lb/ft at the wheels!!!

That is more than the 1999 F550 PowerStroke!
Newer PowerStrokes have of course significantly more, ok yeah.

The 3rd gen Dana 44 axles have thicker tubes for this reason.
But I just want people to realize this Jeep truck is Severely Overbuilt. It is in every way a Lion in sheep’s clothing.
Gladiator = BEAST!

How are you getting 77.4:1 with a 4.0 t-case? Is there some kind of torque converter multiplier as well? I only drive manuals.

Using the gear ratio of the 8 spd transmission, I assume.

Never heard of a 1st gear lower than 6.xx:1, and there is no way this tranny has a granny gear.

Per wiki a torque converter can net around 2.5:1 multiplication. 77 / (2.5 * 4) = 7.7:1 first gear. Is that so?

"Gladiator"? Seriously? We shall see how well this goes.
I was scrolling past this comment as I said to my wife ‘there are finally some real leaks on the new Jeep pickup - they’re calling it the Gladiator’ her response was a very enthusiastic ‘ooooooooh, that’s a good name!’

Soooo, in my world - you’re wrong. ;-)

4.71 1st gear in the 8 speed. Times 4:1 for the Rock Trac. Times 4.10:1 for the axle.

Pretty sure it's been said the diesel will only have a 3.73 axle. Even for Rubicon.

Still no pics or renders of a topless Gladiator - kinda surprising given that being a convertible is one of the big selling points!

There are no "official" pics out period yet. You'll see one topless next Wednesday I'm sure. :)
