Does anyone know of an adjustable front track bar that requires no modifications for fitment? I tried installing the Metalcloak front track bar, until realizing it didn't fit unless I took a dremel to the mounting location on the underside of the axle. Typically, I'd take on this project but I really don't feel like it. lol.

Teraflex was my original choice, but I read reviews about a clicking noise when turning. Also, looked into Steer smarts Yeti. I'd be willing to try either, as long as I don't have to modify anything for fitment.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

I've got the MetalCloak on mine......did not have to make any adjustments for fitment.
yea, apparently some MY’s have a larger bore allowing the track bar hole to line up on the axle end. Mine did not. I wasn’t aware of this issue or I wouldn’t have bought it. MetalCloak’s customer service is superb though, so I’ll be returning it.

My Clayton (both front and rear) are adjustable and do not require any modifications. Also, if the bushings ever wear out or get damaged, they sell replacement inserts.

I had to modified my Steersmarts bar. But, i removed a little material from the bar instead of the frame.

With my Core front track bar. I had to enlarge the hole in the bracket on the axle for the bar to fit. The Core bar uses Johnny Joints on both ends. The Clayton rear bar fit with no issues. I used the Clayton rear bar because it's bent to fit 37" spare tires.

I have the MC one. I just beat the hell out of the bracket to get it in there. Then later on I found out about having to grind some crap. As much as I like the MC stuff, I’m tired of having to modify my Jeep to accommodate their parts. Everything requires drilling new holes, cutting stuff, etc. it’s like once you go MC you can’t go back.

It literally takes seconds. Dealing with shipping the MC bat back and ordering another would take longer.

Bingo. I beat on it for 30 minutes, to realize it was sitting as far down as it could go. So i reinstalled the OEM trackbar. I modified my last jeep heavily, Clayton lift, MC drag link/tie rod, the list goes on. I've spent countless hours having to modify aftermarket parts to fit and I told myself I'm not doing that again with this new one. If it doesn't install without modifications then I'm not installing it. It was my bad though that I missed that part in the instructions on their website. My stupidity is not reflective of MC, because their stuff is great.

You can easily bevel the edge by grinding it down a little. If the Clayton front bar use the same threaded joint as their rear than it will fit without grinding anything. Contact Clayton.

To this to get the Core track bar to fit. Was worth it if you want Johnny Joint's.

Steer smarts is what you want. Hands down the best.

I had the Clayton kit on my last gladiator. I do remember it fitting without any issues, however I wanted to try something new this time around. I may still end up going with them to be safe. Thanks for the feedback!
