Did you wire for both back up and aux? Thanks to @WILDHOBO I know what little Amazon goodie I needed to make that happen. Super easy and now bright automatically when I back up and on demand
I often load my car hauler in the evening, after dark. It's nice to be able to have lights back there for loading or unloading a car, strapping it down or taking straps off, that sort of thing.

Almost went that route but didn't. Don't need them most of the time. Can always change it if I want to.
Just a diode and some wire, although you need to modify the wiring harness a bit.

I didn’t know you did the mini project. Glad it worked well. It’s more about running wire than difficulty. And the diode is cheap.

That’s the reason I did it as well.

But Escalades tailgating me in the mountains at night, tend to back off when they get turned on.

Reminds me of this.

Installed my Baxter Performance Oil Filter Adaptor I got at SMJI. Finally was time for an oil change and most def time to prevent those dry starts, hopefully ill stave off the whole getting on the forever wait list for a left cam shaft.

You had to grind the intake for clearance?

Yes I had to remove a Mounting point that I would assume is generic to the intake for something else with a 3.6 that gets a engine cover.

Its a tight fit. Close to the intake and close to the alternator (which I didnt realize was mounted backwards until last night)

What’s backwards? The alternator?

Yes, driven from the back instead of the usual pulley to the front. Better cooling IMO.
Certainly stronger without the pulley all the way out from the mount.
