Not cooking, but eating. And it’ll be weeks until it’s over. I drove to WI to drop off my broken down 401 at a specialized amc machine shop on Friday. Then, armed with my coolers, I hit the closest specialized WI cheese shop. The Mars Cheese Castle. I spent $600 plus on cheese, sausage, pickled eggs, pickles, cheese, sausage, more cheese, etc. obviously cheese curds were a big part of the “errand” but my current favorite from this haul is the 18yr aged cheddar.

I can’t say I have a favorite cheese, but legit WI Colby is up there. This chunk is over two pounds. The other chunk of it is larger. The pepper jack I bought is at least 3lbs. The aged stuff pairs great with the bourbon sour cherry sausage.

That’s the smaller of the three big chunks. The 8 and 28yr stuff was in small pieces. Still have three pieces of the 18. Damn good with whiskey.

Hadn't used my Skottle in ages so pulled that out tonight. First time doing some burgers and sausage on it surprisingly.

Used plenty of butter and Miller Lite in the middle when doing the sausage 😂

I was required to make one large pancake for our 5 year old granddaughter due to the wife having a stomach bug. I’ve never made pancakes, although I can cook bacon, eggs, omelettes, and sausage with my eyes closed.

The pancake looked sorta like this...

An Overlanders favorite cooking device to look cool on Instagram.

I did not pay that much for mine, and don't think they are worth that, but its handy especially since it packs down into a heavy duty vinyl bag. Good all around cooking device that isnt really perfect for anything but its good enough.

I got it for a good deal when a friend did the grand opening of his offroad/overlanding shop. I do really like it for going on trips if im gonna cook for a few people, tailgating, or going to the park for a day.

We have usually done fajita style dishes in it or taco meat and warm the tortillas around the edge.

So a camping stove under a piece of steel?

Basically. Its concave so its like a stove under a plow disk. Like a shallow wok.
My youngest stepson takes old plow disks and welds 2 horse shoes on them and plug welds the hole in the center. Then grinds it smooth. Bead blasts them clean. Then seasons them. Turns them into woks. Works great with this type of burner.
