Thats good, I wished I did I got friends on here and thats about it. All my friends from bygone years are gone . Life stinks sometimes but if ypu have a good one ya try and do what ya can. Good for you
I've made quality friends on other automotive forums before, even across the country. If you're cool with awkwardly nerdy and likes to be active/do things, send a PM.

Well I took the glove box out and fixed the servo for the recirculating/ fresh air door. But that didnt solve my problem . I still have no AC. All positions work from panel to floor to defrost and solid defrost, but it isn't refrigerated. Frustrated. I read an older post from @Hootbro who said usually it is low freon or pressure switch. 🤔 if anyone has any idea what it is let me know thanks
Get a A/C pressure gauge kit and go test your system. It's actually really easy and if you don't f8&^ around you won't damage anything/cause a leak. Need to know the pressures on the Low/High sides, that's what any reputable shop will start with, as that usually leads you to the issue. Kinda sounds like I have my HVAC/ASE certs huh. Been a few years since I used that knowledge, but use it or lose it, right?

Do you think ,I could add freon to my system if I find it is low 🤔, I have done it years ago on older model vehicles with the older R134A , never tried it with R1234yf

While you CAN, you SHOULD have a proper A/C machine drain before servicing the bad part, then refill after servicing said bad part.

If your A/C goes out, it's not something a can of freon will fix, you need to have it checked and find the failure. Could be a seal somewhere, could be a valve, could be your evaporator or condenser. But you need to start by using gauges to see what is what.

Retired. Finally !!
Being it was a nice temp this morning (65*), my wife and I decided to pop the panels and go for a ride and test my new toy.

Everyone knows that A/T tires make noise, any and all brands. Everyone knows the wind blowing through the lowered windows and open top make noise. Everyone knows that the passing cars add considerably to that noise. Everyone knows that if your going over 40 that noise increases a LOT.

I have hearing loss, not great, but I do gots; job related. While driving, the favorite word between my wife and I is "WHAT ???" when we attempt to talk to each other. On my sidecar rig I have a high dollar intercom system. We speak at normal tones while riding, even with our open face helmets, no wind noise. Connected to my phone and XM. Radio auto-cuts when we speak, cuts when a call comes in. Callers have no clue I'm tooling down the road on my rig, it sounds that good. But it's hardwired and $$$ money.

I was wondering if some similar is around for Jeep drivers. I found Sena Expand Mesh behind-the-neck intercoms, rechargeable, no cords, no permanently mounted hardware. It has VOX, it have automatic noise canceling, it can connect to your phone for calls and music. It has a 1 mile range, you can "mesh" with others with the same headset, unlimited users. I gave it a go.

This morning we tried it out. It actually made the ride a LOT quieter !! No tire noise, no wind noise, passing cars were not that loud and we could still hear the radio perfectly !! I actually had to say, "Normal voice, no need to shout." to my wife quite a few times. I did find if I stick my head out the window, yeah, you can hear wind noise over the mic. But I ain't no Golden Retriever.

The boom mike is not that big, the stalk is maybe 3" long, no big boom in front of your face like you're landing 747's. No headband over the top of your head so I can still wear my favorite Willys baseball cap. No big ear cups, they kind of remind me of the old Walkman style pads.

We thought they were worth the cost (around 150-160 each on Amazon, price changes daily). We both agreed they aren't the cheapest thing around, as we can yell "WHAT ??" for free. But to be able to have a convo at normal tones was well worth it. And let's face it, I'm not game to have any more hearing loss...

The phone app lets you customize the settings, I left it factory, I may tweak it to see what it does.

When we go to our destination, it was crowded. I dropped my wife off to check what the wait time was for the restaurant while I parked. She forgot she had her headset on. I heard her repeat what the hostess said; a 45 minute wait. I said to my wife "I heard." She laughed, forgot she had them on. "Where are you ?" "3 blocks away looking for a space to park." "Do you want to wait ?" "Sure. We drove nearly 2 hours to get here." All done over the intercom, hands free, clear as a bell.

Did we look silly riding down the road ? I'll be 65 in a couple weeks. Appearances mean absolutely nothing to me anymore. Black socks and sandals are looking mighty comfortable lately (kidding).

Will they work for you ? I can't say that. I know they worked for us.

Dog and I went for a spin just to see how much snow there wasn't there.
First real patch of snow. Way to early to be in this area.

There's probably 18" there. Shouldn't be able to get here, not the way i came for another 2 weeks or even a month yet.

That meadow would normally be under a foot or so of snow this time of year. Of course she had to head straight for the water.

Yes that's a real tree, about 64" across at the cut.

Dog loves the water, but she likes the snow more. She probably loves playing in the snow even more than me, and that's saying something.
We both had a good time. The snow was still pretty solid, just wish there was more out there.

RudeJeepin -

That head-on photo of your Jeep in fresh snow, no other tracks but yours, is truly worthy of a print, frame and post on the wall of your home !!

Maintenance weekend at the gun club….
Yesterday, we worked on the maintenance building. Trying to clean up and organize some of it. It still needs a lot of work.😳

Today…. installed steal plates on the 200 & 300 yard rifle range.
The guys did all the work… I just painted the plates after they was installed.

The club members should be very happy - to have the steal back installed once again.😁

Impromptu camping night out. Wifey and kids said it was too hot so going solo.

I've been threatening to go camping since I retired in December. I've been talking about going for several months prior. I told my wife about it, she said to have fun, her tent camping days are over. We did rent a Casita camper a few weeks back, but it's not the same.

I gotta get off the pot before the Texas heat sets in for good.
