Mine apparently is taking a wee longer. I dropped it off at 11:45 my time, it's now 2:00, no word yet.

They're probably in the back playing rock/paper/scissors/lizard/Spock to see who does it... Best of three. (the lizard/Spock was added for those that watched Big Bang Theory)

Nah, not these guys. You actually have to tell them to NOT wash and vacuum your Jeep afterwards. That always adds another 30-40 minutes to your roll-out.

When I asked about the shuttle service, she asked where I lived. Plain as day I said, "Dallas.". She got pie-eyed. I laughed and said "4 or 5 exits down. Gotcha, though !!". She comes back with, "No ya didn't, I was going to say, "well, have a seat in our waiting room.".

For reference, I live 245 miles south of Dallas. Houston is closer to me.

This dealer even offers shuttle service for freaking oil changes. This is a foo-foo dealership, they have an in-house coffee bar with a full time barista, you can get coffee with all that Starbucks lingo that I do NOT understand. If you get there early enough, they have pastries as well. When getting my oil changed, I usually get a cup of what I call "regular coffee" which I've learned is now called an "Americano". Why ? Why ? I always tease the barista (I'm old, I can pull this crap off now). When she asks how I like my coffee, I always say, "I like my coffee like I like my women. Strong and bitter.".

I couldn't tell you what the local Jeep dealer has in it for amenities.

I know the local Yota dealership practically has a continental spread while waiting for service.

The local Ford dealer picks up vehicles for oil changes. The guy in the office next to me does that with his F150. They'll come get it from the parking lot, go service it, and bring it back.

My Jeep dealer doesn't answer email, phone, or texts. You just have to send it.

Mine answers the phone. Well. It's been a while since I called.

I THINK they have a coke machine in the hallway if you are getting service, and maybe a tiny glass room with two chairs. I think last time I sat on the steps under the breezeway while I waited.

Been a few years though.

My buddy drives a new Tundra. The dealer comes to his house and services his truck. They can scan codes, do software updates, everything they can do at the shop. THAT is service !!

Got my graduation certificate from the dealer...my Jeep passed the recall - no repairs needed. Put it in he binder with all the other invoices, maintenance paperwork and what-not.

Has anyone yet had the "need repairs" invoice ? Seems like we're all getting the thumbs up.

I'm not entirely sure if there was a repair made on mine or not from the ticket they gave me. I'll likely call the dealer tomorrow to clarify.

BTW: The ORP worked almost flawlessly today. I dragged the icon to the lower bar to get quick access and only once after startup did it take a few minutes to switch from the basic U to the proper icon.

I stopped by my dealer today and the underwriter said they haven’t had one they had to do yet. Going back to check middle of August I guess ? Here on the western slope Colorado there’s a lot of jeeps. I don’t know how many they have checked ?

Their estimate is 1 in 1,000 I seriously doubt we will see one here
