I'm going to laugh if you're anywhere within $1000 of your guess and everyone on this forum holds you up to writing "I love Toyota" 500 times.
Ah, c'mon guys...And we want a youtube video of yourself in a toyota shirt and hat we will count every one so don't cheat us lol
Well if this turns out to be true, I'm with j.colemanjr and I'll add every single options that are available...To add to all the talks that the Gladiator will be priced less than its Wrangler Unlimited counter part here’s an assembly line work who posted it as well.
It could be nothing, it could be something, but this isn’t the first person that has heard this.
Stoked for pricing very soon

jcolemanjr was one that posted the video of the first JT off the line. Not that that means anything, but interesting. To add to all the talks that the Gladiator will be priced less than its Wrangler Unlimited counter part here’s an assembly line work who posted it as well.

Pickup trucks have consistently sold for less than their SUV counterparts.I hope he's right. But I'd be shocked if they sold a vehicle that requires more material costs to produce than Wrangler for less money than Wrangler. That's bad business.
SUVs typically have a higher material cost than their equivalent pickup. Not in this case.Pickup trucks have consistently sold for less than their SUV counterparts.
How do SUVs have a higher material cost than a pick up variant ?SUVs typically have a higher material cost than their equivalent pickup. Not in this case.
More steel, more glass, more interior trim, more electrical, more seatsHow do SUVs have a higher material cost than a pick up variant ?
Pickup all have a separate cab, bed and frame. And usual a different suspension.
Look at the Tacoma and 4Runner.
Wrangler and Gladiator isn’t any different.
So if. Your saying all these things that typically are the reasons that SUVs have more material over a pickup. Than why do you think that the Gladiator will cost more. Your logic is saying it cost less.More steel, more glass, more interior trim, more electrical, more seats

Right. In this case, they're literally taking Wrangler and adding more to it. More standard features, more body sheeting, more frame, forged suspension pieces, additional skids, more storage, etc. I don't see how they'd ever remotely consider selling it for less money.
I get what your saying. But that’s the same thing that happened between the Tacoma and 4Runner.@WXman covered it:
