I watched their youtube for JL and yes you can lock them in the up or down position.

wish they showed the sensors, he just showed the magnet on the door side. Wonder how the "doors off mode" works.

looks like you use a magnet on the door and double sided tape to stick the sensor just below the door latch hook.....

Yes. It look rather flimsy.. but I'm sure one can mcgyver it somehow..I for one can't wait to get my hands on one and see what improvement I can do if any....

around 7:26 they show the sensors being taped to the door jam. If my proximity sensor thing worked, that would be way cool, but i won't even look into that for 2-3 years, good to know how its done though.

Cool ideas... I'll keep an eye peeled on what you come up with, I'll be getting a set as soon as I can (after I have a Jeep to mount them on that is).

I'll have them done with standard installation, but I'm all for clever new tricks.

These sensors are why i wont buy a RockSliders, they should set them up to work like AMP steps.
