So I'm guessing you can't fold the windshield down with that on. Is it easy to remove?
No plans to fold the windshield down. It was not hard to install but removing would require un-wiring and so its permanent.

Let's see the paint job.
I posted the wrap earlier in this thread lol the wheels are getting powder coated red and I still need to order tires. So it’ll be a few weeks before it’s “done”

one more request. Can you take a photo looking down the rear tailgate so you can see just how much of the step is to the right of the tailgate and how much is under the tailgate? looks like only 50% of the step would be to the right of the tailgate.. Thanks.
It's about 50%, its more then enough to still be used with the tailgate down.

I have this step on my Gladiator and it’s very easy to step down on to. I trust it that stepping down onto it is your main concern. And you do need to take a good look at exactly where it is so you do step right on to it. A long time ago I heard that Bestop was going to also make a bed step and I think that theirs may be a tad wider. But I didn’t want to hold my breath waiting for them to come out with one. Very pleased with mine.

Thanks to you and Jake - I had reservations but the photo and your explanations make me confident that it's worth my getting one. I'm not any younger than I was yesterday and I'm certainly not an Olympic gymnast in grace or balancing skill...... so something was/is needed.

Added spash guards. I know the hard-core guys will grimace and wonder why the hell I did that...to a JEEP of all things...... but I've done that with all of my better or more expensive vehicles and in the end lack of pitting, chipping and rust makes them easier to sell down the road.
It's a bloody TRUCK......so why not take care of it?
I've had them on Grand Cherokees, my SX4 and my Silverado (likely why there were no rock chips and the truck was easier to keep clean in the winter)
I hate rock chips, I don't like scrubbing road tar and semi grease off the sides. If I go out and get crazy with it and they get damaged or ripped off, so what, they are only minutes to install new ones again.
I think the fronts might have taken 10 minutes each and that included me turning the wheels to gain access for drilling the inner hole, gathering my tools, putting tools away and so on. The rears a tad longer due to needing to remove the wheels for access.
POM rivets made them easy and it matches the factory fasteners - normally not a fan but they go in easy and look factory.

They are a $150 option if you order them with your truck, they are $100 at the parts counter and take nothing at all to install.
Funny, the parts guy said "you want them installed, right? I said no, I just want to buy them. He gave me a look like - are you sure you don't want us to install them?
Pictures later........... along with pics showing the gravel, sand and dirt being tossed onto the running boards in that gap between them and front fender.

Hey I can relate, am in my 60’s now and no more balet snow skiing or back scratcher ski jumps for me any more. And to the concerns of @steffen707 your perceptions are spot on. I just took a tape measure to my bed step. It’s right at 12” wide at it’s widest point. And 8” of it is right under the tailgate and just 4” is to the right of the tailgate. So I highly recommend taking a good look at where it is before you step down on to it or before you bust your rear end missing it. It’s really easy to step on to.

Yeah, for me the Trifecta is one of the best on the market for a soft tonneau. I've had them last ownership of 2 different trucks. The only one I've replaced was in a hail storm that did $2,000+ in damage to the truck and made us replace our roof.

I've got my eye on a hard cover, for when we do longer off-road camping trips, but like you I'm waiting on companies to release the goods for Gladiator.
There are some pretty sweet looking rollups in testing...but pretty pricey.

Yeah, pretty much anything with metal/aluminum runs up the price quickly. I've seen some really nice looking roll up designs, my problem with them has always been with the amount of space you lose when they roll into the front of the bed. The big advantage of Trifecta for me is that in 5 minutes I can have it completely off the truck, if I need to load into the full bed. For the same reason, I'm really looking hard at the Diamondback hard cover. I want something I can potentially mount bikes and a spare tire (for our trailer) on. The Diamondback gives you access to front and rear and it's not too hard to totally remove if you want to. That and the weight limit for loading on the cover exceeds anything I'd ever need to mount there.

All depends on how you're going to use it though. I looked at the roll-up designs that include a rail system for a rack. I could see them being very desirable if your use case includes a rack, rooftop tent, etc.

Oh and I also installed Smart SteerYeti Sway Bar Links and Rancho Geometry Correction Brackets :)

The brackets made a huge difference on the handeling

Is there any way we can get a pic from front of vehicle to see how much it hangs down
