I picked up my Gladiator Sport Monday. Since, I’ve put Pro Comp 33” tires and 17” Pro Comp rims on it, side steps and a tonneau cover. Getting it tinted this week and adding a Gladiator hood decal. That should hold me for a bit.

Looks great! Exactly what I will be installing very soon. Any issues with the install?
Watch the @Northridge4x4 video on install, it is very good. Need to figure out what works for you on routing wiring to battery. Other than that, I used the Warn Winch plate. Seems like you lose two mounting points for the front skid plate. I need to relook at the installing to see. I went to hardware store to get stainless bolts to mount the fairlead

My kit has a front license plate holder. I have to remove the bumper to grind it off. If you don’t want that make sure you take it off before the install.

share anything you learn during your install.

Added Mopar sill guards and splash guards received from Christmas gifts. Rubber topography mats arrive Monday.

Sorry don't visit site everyday
Yes I also heard popping, run it back in a few threads then back out.....
I had to pull down hard on the bolt, it seems they have a captured washer on the bolt so it don't fall out.
Just curious if while loosening the bolts if it felt like any of the the nut was loose. I heard 2 pops as I started loosening mine with a breaker bar, I was able to loosen the bolt but then at the end it just spins and won’t come out. I can tighten it back up so not sure what’s happening.

This is the look I'm headed for, glad I found it.
So not throwing stones here, to each their own and I know some will say I don’t plan on doing that. But, after many years of being difficult to fold down the windshield Jeep has finally made it VERY easy and I’m addicted. The second I turn off the pavement and it’s awesome. Just saying you might want to give it a try before committing to a set up like this.

Placed some welting in between the body and fenders. I was so tired of digging out damn Norway spruce needles getting lodged in the crevice. Per another member suggestion on here, Ordered some Trim-Lok rubber tubing. Should do the trick.

I did this also. Pine needles and small rocks. Works great!
Cheers

Haven't tried it yet with mine, but was super excited when I saw how easy it is to do this on the JL/JT. I even bought the tie downs the day I got the jeep just to be ready.

I have the same issue where did you get the welting rubber material from?
Cheers

Added a new Cobra Road Scout Radar Detector/Dash Camera combo. Replaced my old Escort 9500ix after many years of service. I read the old detectors pick up so many false alarms because they pick up rear proximity signals from so many cars with new technology of rear view side mirror sensors. I can’t confirm this, but did a side by side comparison and the Cobra picks up just as fast as the older Escort when it’s a real cop and 95% less false alarms. No false alarms at Ingles, Ace Hardware, Walmart, etc where the Escort always goes off. For that alone and greatly reduced false alarms it’s a keeper for me. Dash camera built in is a bonus.

Display showing a Highway Patrol that tried to sneak up behind me and was 1387ft back at the time of the picture. I picked him up at 2600ft back and slowed to 65 MPH. Old Escort never even beeped once from the rear approach, so the Cobra already paid for itself. Pretty Cool!

Sometimes you just have to upgrade to newer technology.
